So I think we are well into the application period so, surely it is time to start up this board. I can not wait until we hear back in May. Trying to keep very busy while waiting. Good luck to everyone applying!! Hopefully we can keep each other company here and celebrate our successes!!
@jesus~ vc is right, no sciences on HESI. just math, vocab(and general knowledge), grammar, reading and 2 sections for personality and learning style. I even called because I was scared to not study science and then they actually be on the test, but they aren't!
@Kate, that's awesome that we will be able to meet each other in July! Looking forward to it!!
Hi everyone, hope you all are enjoying your summer! I have been emailing documents for the program (insurance verification, photograph, health cert) to the nursing department, but I never get a response that anything has been received.. Is this pretty standard? I know that they are swamped processing all of our info, etc., I just don't want to get to orientation and find out they don't have any of my documents.
Hey Kate,
When I talked to Mrs. A last month I asked her if I could email my documents. She said that would be fine but to bring hardcopies to orientation, bc they have been inundated with emails, so just in case. So I'm doing both. I haven't received confirmation so maybe they're just really busy? Anyways, hope that helps!
Hi everyone. I have been accepted into an ADN program that starts in Fall 2012. I really want to bridge to get my BSN. What does this partnership with Tarleton mean? I have all my prereqs for TCC too. I just need to apply for the Spring 2013 and take the HESI. I don't want to throw the opportunity I have away but if I can start my BSN sooner I would. Thanks, Kalt
Thanks Student, I know it's an RN-BSN program. What I was wanting to know was how the partnership with Tarleton works. I was considering turning down my acceptance into another ADN program that starts in Fall 2012 and try for TCC Spring 2013. The partnership is appealing because I want to go for my BSN right after getting my ADN. Plus, Tarleton is known to be less expensive than other universities.
I spoke with an advisor yesterday and they explained that it is like other academic partnerships except that the BSN classes will be at TCC Trinity Campus (I think someone has already posted this info). It is a seamless transition into the RN-BSN program for TCC students. They are still figuring out what course requirements are needed at this time. They will announce that info Fall 2012.
I guess we will know more in the Fall. Meanwhile, TCC has told me that I can transfer to TCC from another approved ADN program if I decide I want to change programs next year. I probably won't do that but it's good to know there are options.
Good luck to you all and congratulations!

For those who have taken the HESI entrance exam already.... Can you recall what was covered on the test? I've reserved my date to take it and was shown what will be covered.... I didn't see any sciences on the list. This surprised me, but would like to know if any of you had any A&P / Chem questions...
