So I think we are well into the application period so, surely it is time to start up this board. I can not wait until we hear back in May. Trying to keep very busy while waiting. Good luck to everyone applying!! Hopefully we can keep each other company here and celebrate our successes!!

I didn't even realize I do that until the last few days & it's been so obvious!

I wonder if next week they're going to say, "Well, this week was just a 'tentative' date."??

I wish they would send a letter (by someone that is legitimately involved in the process) saying what's going on and when we can really expect to know. That would be nice

lol I was thinking the same thing about them telling us next week was just a "tentative date"... hopefully not... I'm going to call next week and if they say another date I really want to say, "I've talked to a lot of other people who have called and we've all been told many different dates, so what is going on, why are we all being told something different, and what is taking so long?" lol I just don't want to make anyone mad...

And I wonder why it takes like a month or so one semester and then another group finds out way past the supposed deadline. Apparently there is a reason, just wonder what it is. Are they taking so many more applicants this time?? idk

Hey everyone. I called as well and she told me next week.....but hopefully by the end of this week. hopefully they are just trying to give themselves enough time so people don't call everyday to ask what's going on.....there is still hope!!! ****fingers crossed***:no:

~also does anyone by chance know how they send out the emails? is alphabetical? those who were accepted and those who wern't? those who turned in thier applications first?? IDK if anyone would know I'm just curious......

I'm not sure how they send them... Its so frustrating if we have to wait another week we had a deadline to turn in our applications and we made it and they can't even meet theirs. Its not like we scheduled May 1st they did eeeerrrrr:madface:

Hey everyone. I'm from the Fall 2011 TCC thread. I was just reading how you are all so miserable waiting for letters, I was in your place a year ago along with all the others and I just finished my second semester with one more final left on Monday. Anyway, our group waited until June 1st to find out, and we did not have the pleasure of getting emails for our notices, we had to wait for the envelopes that decided our fate. I know it is frustrating to hear differently but I would suggest not calling the office because when we were waiting we heard more than 10 different answers each day. We were a very persistent group :) Anyway, to give you all some peace of mind, I heard from the grapevine today that selections were made last week. Now, enjoy your break, the email will come and there will always be plenty of time to arrange everything else that is pending in your lives because if you all made sacrifices to get here, you will continue to make sacrifices even if the email comes really late.

Tips; I would not recommend buying the skills book either. If you are not buying the bundle, I would suggest you guys to thoroughly investigate when you buy the text book by itself because a lot of them don't include the online component (YOU WILL USE THOSE THROUGH OUT THE PROGRAM) A lot of the books in the bundle also comes with the electronic version so if you all have iPads, I have seen many students using them in class and not carrying the 40 pounder book with them. Rolling bags? Don't purchase them, I had one for the first semester and I only used it during the first semester, so unless you have a terrible back, I would not suggest buying one. Become part of TNSA, it is a great organization and this will help you out considerable throughout school and post school. It looks great on your resume. Anyway, If you all have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Nursing school is fun, fun, hard, extremely time consuming but very rewarding. Oh, and don't freak out when you take your first test in foundation and you don't walk out with an A plus. :)

Loly thank you so much!!! I read y'alls thread and was horrified when I saw y'all didn't find out until June 1st! I can't even imagine what that was like for y'all! Congrats on finishing your second semester!! And really, thank you, we really appreciate it when y'all give us advice!! :hug:

So do you recommend buying the bundle then? I would love to just use an iPad as my book in class!!

Thanks Loly! I was reading your thread as well and very horrified! Thank you for all the advice. I will take all you have to give. I would love to just use my ipad as well so I am guessing the bundle is the way to go. Congrats on finishing up your 2nd semester!
