So I think we are well into the application period so, surely it is time to start up this board. I can not wait until we hear back in May. Trying to keep very busy while waiting. Good luck to everyone applying!! Hopefully we can keep each other company here and celebrate our successes!!
3.75 science 3.5 cumalitive 91.2 HESI
I am sorry too..but...
I really think with your science gpa and HESI you will be accepted to TCC. My friend who applied in the fall had a 3.75 and a 90 and was accepted just fine. I really haven't seen people posting many higher than yours on this site or the FB page.. just my opinion of course :)
TCC may not be your first choice but at least it is cheap and you can bridge afterwards!
Good luck! Come on month of May and hurry up!
Thank you!! I jus wanna be done with nursing school, I have a one year old and would love to be able to finish before he's in school, I have this plan in my head and I want it to work out so badly! Any nursing school is better than no nursing school at least with TCC I've applied with a couple people I've been studying with hopefully it will be more enjoyable anyways. Good luck everyone and stay strong...I jus hope if I don't get in that my drive and confidence will stay high...
I have to get in now because my older son is a senior in college and my younger is a sophomore in high school. He will be ready to start and the college account is about to run dry!! I just want to get him through and then maybe go on to another degree. One step at a time for me, but hopefully the timing will be right and I will get in for the fall!
Praying for us...oh the pressures of motherhood.I have to get in now because my older son is a senior in college and my younger is a sophomore in high school. I also was rejected at UTA. My stats are...Science GPA 4.0Combined GPA 3.78HESI 94I wasn't even wait listed which kind of surprised me. It looks as if being a UTA student is crucial to getting in, at least for this application period. People with much lower GPA's who had UTA considerations were accepted and, I saw a few 4.0, 4.0 people with no considerations wait listed. I really thought I would at least be wait listed. I really was leaning towards TCC but, now all of my apples are in the TCC basket and I am even more nervous now. I hope we hear soon. I have some huge decisions to make if I don't get in at TCC.

What I looked at was the list of courses required to complete the RN-BSN program at UTA. Then I pulled up their entire list of courses that they accept as a transfer from TCC. Albeit I havent gone and talked to an advisor at UTA about transfer classes.. but a few of the courses I didnt find on the transfer list were ENG3373 Technical writing, POLS2311 Fed Govt, POLS2312 State and local govt, PSCY3310 Developmental Pscy and ENG2326 eng lit. All the other courses I had found the transfer equivalent for at TCC. I have a whole notebook of classes I need to take, bc like I have seen most of you talk about, I want to bridge right after I graduate. I am really not looking forward to all the english classes! lol
