I have officially turned into a basket case. Since I have found out that people got their letters around April 17th last year and that orientation is scheduled for May 4th this year, I have become obsessed with the mail like everybody else. Today, I kept peeking out the window and eyeing the mail box like a hawk until I had to leave to go to class. Of course, the mailman was late today (because he knows that I'm waiting on that letter). Then I called my husband right before class and right after class, even though I knew he was busy, and tormented him until he went out to check the mail. I was so disappointed that I didn't hear anything today. I was sure that I would get a letter from TCC in the mail. Oh well! I guess I will repeat the process tomorrow! What a let down!
i have thought about it . i have all my classes finished for it, but my husband has doubts about it. he says he knows me and i wont be happy with that type of thing...i guess i should not really give a *^ since he has no clue what he is talking about, but i just wanted him to be supportive.. he does not know it but i have been studying for ec1 . my plan was to while working on my bgs bachelor in general studies. i have a aas already) at twu and getting fa, taking that extra money and paying for my degree at ec.. i was looking at the university of el paso and they have a 3 semester program all online for the rn to bsn. i have had my baby but that does not change the fact that i have 6 kids, so any school is hard anyway...
hey texasspadequeen,
i am sorry you didn't get into the school of your choice. i never see many people post about prairie view son but i applied there for the fall and i know they take apps every semester so if all else fails, you could try them for spring and you'll most likely get it. they go by requirements. if you have all pre-reqs completed and meet the minimum gpa requirements, then you're in. just a thought.
I'm taking it Summer I. I took Carmichael for both A&P I and II. I loved her teaching style and highly recommend her.
I took Carmichael too for both classes and I LOVED her! She really made it a point to make sure everyone understood before she moved on. Plus, she was incredibly approachable.
Jaxia - when did you take her? I had her Fall '04 and Spring '05.
Zanibo -- I took her Spring '06 and Fall '06. I guess we missed each other! Did you take any other nursing classes at TCC-NE?
Deb -- I, too, am worried about summer science classes. But, if I don't have Micro before the fall starts, then I'll have to take it with my other nursing classes. I'd rather make nursing school as easy on me as possible! It's hard enough without adding another class with a lab into the mix.

Just wanted to second all the recommendations for Matthai, I took him over the summer last year and he was great. Just be prepared to see some nasty pictures of STDs which he thinks are farily hilarious! :)
