I was wondering who all got accepted or is in the TAMUCC eline program this semester. It is nice to have someone to talk and ask questions about the program. I start Jan. 10th, YEAH.

I'm not in the program, but I'm curious -- was it hard to set up your clinicals?

I just graduated from the accelerated program in College Station (a partnership with TAMUCC). Although I wasn't eline, we met a couple people that were doing eline throughout our program. It worked well for them because they all had other full time jobs and they seemed to like it. From what I can gather, the school sets up the clinicals for you. Depending on where you live, it may be hard or easy for them to set up (if they have had someone there already, it would be easier for them as they probably already have a contact/contract with a hospital) Either way, if they accept you in the program, they will work something out.
Good luck with the program! We did some eline classes the first semester. Hang in there...some of it will seem like busy work, but they assured us that it wasn't!
Im not sure yet, I bet I will have to go to college station (about 1 1/2 hr drive). Thats ok, it will be worth it.
I am interested in seeing how these classes are. I heard the first semester is the worst.

Could someone please give me a little background to this program? I've never heard of this since I am not originally from Texas..
A&M in Corpus Christi has an online RN with BSN program. All of your classes are online and you do clinicals at a clinical site that they have closest to you. Unfortunally, they do not give credit for already being an LVN, but the payoff of it being online makes it worth it.
Very cool, thank you. :)

I've been in the program for 2 long years now. I hope to graduate in August. Just for clarification, the program is a generic BSN program, not a LVN-RN or RN-BSN bridge.
Welcome to everyone that started in January!!!!!!!

Where did you do clinicals and how often? Any clinical sites in/around Houston? I'm considering this program as I have over 50 hours of relevant coursework. The TAMUCC website says they only admit once a year in Sept. Is that correct?
I responded to your PM. I'm really not sure what the admissions procedure is now. They used to enroll several times a year. They may have changed the policy.
