Hi everyone! I am applying to TAMU for the spring of 2019. I figured I'd start a thread to talk to others who are applying and to help each other through the application process. I am so nervous because it is so competitive and I am sure other people are too!
I am applying to the second degree BSN track- I have a 3.77 overall GPA. I currently attend Blinn for some of my prerequisites. I have a degree from Texas State University and have 4 years of professional medical experience. My nursing science GPA is 3.68 and I made a 90 on the hesi test.
Feel free to post your stats and comments/concerns.

Hi, I also applied to TAMU for the Spring 2019 term! I'm already done with fingerprinting and just playing the good ole waiting game! Has anybody heard anything about when we should hear back? I know we were told late Oct./Nov., but I have heard they sometimes release early!
I saw that last years class found out around October 26th. I can't believe its already October and we will be hearing from them soon!!!

I'm a little late to jumping on this thread but I'm also applying to the second degree program at TAMU. I graduated from TAMU in May and had a 3.56 overall GPA which makes me nervous because it's lower than I wanted. I made a 94 on the HESI and my science gpa is 3.62. I had prior healthcare work and volunteer experience as well as extracurricular activities and leadership positions. I can't believe we are supposed to find out in just a few weeks!!!

Hi, new here! I'm applying for the traditional track for a second time. I have been accepted to UTH San Antonio but still holding out for A&M. I got my cleared background check in the mail, so now I'm just waiting for a decision. Has anyone else noticed that this thread is awfully sort compared to other schools and previous years at TAMU? Hoping that means less applicants to compete with!
I wish that was the case, but I doubt there will be less applicants this year. There is one other thread that I have seen that has a longer thread of comments. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best! We will all know soon.
Yeah I doubt that means there's less competition :-( I got accepted to Texas Tech accelerated program but I'm holding out for TAMU.
I got my acceptance email yesterday!
