Tallahassee Community College Spring 2014 Applicants

Published

I am very excited to apply for TCC's Spring 2014 cohort! I have a 3.7 GPA and 90.5 HESI score, totaling 143.5 points. I also completed microbiology and humanities.

I feel good about my score, based on previous posters having 138 points and ultimately getting in. We have put down our $1k deposit on day care and have arranged our lives for a January start date.

Good luck to everyone, we have all worked very hard to get to this point!

Tallahassee is fun place. Watch out for those seminoles. They're a rowdy bunch.

Has anyone gotten their background check back yet?

I've gotten mine. It says TCC just needs to approve it.

I got all my books too. All from Amazon for $250. Some new and some used.

Oh okay thank you! it says their still looking at mine so i was wondering if other people were getting theirs back.

Anyone know if there are no required books for Nursing Concepts (NUR1213C) or have they just not posted them yet?

I thought that was strange too. A friend of mine who is graduating this semester said that her class had books for Concepts for all 4 semesters. I'm going to call tomorrow and see what's up.

Yea it doesn't seem like enough books to me. Ill email them too.

Yes! Apparently there is a new edition and they're waiting on the ISBN from bookstore so we do need more books.

Okay, so I got my results for my lab screening. Can someone please tell me if they have any knowledge on a dilute negative? I have had the flu for the last half of the week and I have indeed been consuming a lot of fluids. I am officially freaking out.

Does anyone know if I could retest? Any past experiences?

I think as long as it's negative u should be fine. If it was too diluted to test they would have made u retest but I would call the certified background people and see if that is acceptable first.I got my negative results back within 20 hours. So if they make u retest u should def have time.
