Hey guys I'm currently taking my last prerequisites for entry into the RN program this spring. So here are my stats: 145/160.. haven't taken the hesi yet, I plan to do after this semester is over. Talk to me. Let's hear some stats
So I was able to get in contact with Ken Tellis, the health program advisor, and he informed me that they are not able to tell us our ranking as alternates. In the past alternates were told their ranking so I'm a little worried about where I stand. Were any other alternates told the same thing? Also those that are alternates what are your stats such as GPA, HESI Score, and overall points for the program? My GPA is a 3.0, my HESI score was a 92 and my overall score was a 140. I also have taken Microbiology and Humanities. For those that were accepted, Congrats!! :)
Also... lots of also I know, but I'm about to wrap this up lol... For those of you that were accepted, do you have other programs your considering or is TCC your "for sure" program. I'm just curious is anyone is going to pass on TCC and choose a different program. Lots of questions but I'm trying to work out in my head if there is any shot of me getting fully accepted to the program. I want this really bad if you cant tell lol
That is really strange that they wouldn't tell you your place on the alternate list. I know they did that in the past. Personally I would try and get ahold of someone else if you can, and see if they will tell you the list ranking. Worth a shot. With a total of 140 points I have a feeling you're probably near the top of the alternate list. I know that sucks having to wait around, I'm sorry I am keeping my spot in the program, but I know of others who applied to other places besides TCC. Don't give up hope. I wish you the best and if there is the chance you didn't get in, I would recommend maybe in the spring semester retaking a class you didn't get an A in and try to boost your gpa to apply for Fall 2018. Maybe even retake the hesi! You got a good 92 the first time, you could totally do even better the second time :)
Hi All! I was also chosen as an alternate. I e-mailed and received a reply this morning saying the ranking list isn't available yet, but should be available next week. I have about 143 or 144 points, if I did math correctly. I have a 3.0 on prereqs, and a 96 on the HESI. I am currently taking Microbiology. Good luck and congrats to those that got in!
