Tallahassee community college RN program spring 2018

Published

Hey guys I'm currently taking my last prerequisites for entry into the RN program this spring. So here are my stats: 145/160.. haven't taken the hesi yet, I plan to do after this semester is over. Talk to me. Let's hear some stats

I have a 4.0 GPA for pre-reqs and taking my HESI in early August, then applying after that!

Yeah you're no doubt going to get in!! What resources do you plan to use for the hesi?

I have the Elsevier Evolve study guide, a McGraw Hill practice exam book, and I have the pocketprep app that I got for $15 from the app store. I am a little worried about the math section because math has never been a favorite of mine, but I am gonna study hard for that! I mostly need to refresh on fractions. Are there any sections you are feeling a little nervous about?

Yeah most definitely math for same said reason as you. I've had classmates recently take it, and one of them said it was supringly the vocabulary that threw her. But everything else was not bad at all . I'm more so worried about my overall points. This fall's admmitting class avg was 150!

Yes I heard that the vocab section can be tricky! I have a good quizlet set that should help: HESI A2 words Flashcards | Quizlet

It has all of the vocabulary terms from the Elsevier book listed, as well as a few extra that are sometimes on the HESI. Don't worry too much though, spring ADN admission at TCC is less competitive than the fall, and the average is usually in the lower 140's. :)

Thanks much I'm definitely going to use it! And yeah historically I've seen (well from allnurses anyway) students get selected with as low as 139 but yeah never know each class pool is different! I would definitely should my dedication if selected. I'm also going to apply to GCSC and NFCC.

Hey I've been looking for some people to discuss stats with. I'm also apply for the spring I ready put my app in and I have a 149 out of 160. I'm still extreme nervous about trying to get in. As far as the Hesi the grammar was the most difficult to me but I ended up with a 93 overall.

What are the break down of your grades and when did you submit your app? I'm applying early aug once I take the hesi

Nice that is a great score! I expect you to get in for sure. Silly question, but did the on screen calculator for the math section have the decimal button on it? I can't get a complete answer about that when I ask!

I have a 92 on the Hesi with the 20 extra points with a 3.6 gpa.

Hey Midastoich,

Could you please advise me? how did you get 92? I'm super nervous for Hesi. I'm planning to take tomorrow. I have a 4.0 GPA, but English is my second language. So I'm not confident.
