Tallahassee community college RN program spring 2018

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hey guys I'm currently taking my last prerequisites for entry into the RN program this spring. So here are my stats: 145/160.. haven't taken the hesi yet, I plan to do after this semester is over. Talk to me. Let's hear some stats

Hey guys! I just got back from taking the HESI and I'm relieved to say I got a 93. My total points comes out to 153/160 for admission!

Really good score lawsonp

Hey, LawsonP! That's a really good score, congrats! How did you prepare for it? What books or online resources (if any) did you use? I bought the Elsivier Hesi A2 (3rd & 4th) edition.

Thanks! I used the 4th edition Elsevier book to study for math and grammar. I just practiced the math questions from the book over and over, as well as taking practice tests on the Pocketprep app. Pocketprep is really good for all of the subjects so I'm glad I purchased that app. The only thing is that the book wasn't enough for vocab, and I had luckily made flashcards from different quizlet sets I had found. For grammar, taking practice tests was what helped me the most. I got a 98 in math, 90 in reading comp, 90 in grammar, and 94 on the vocab

My goal is to get at least 151 & above (the mere fact that fall is more competitive) I'm currently doing my last prereqs: Anatomy part 2 w/ lab and humanities. I'll be taking microbiology in Spring. I hope applying with micro and humanities will help! I'm planning on taking the hesi at the end of fall term; i'm gathering all the information, and tips and tricks i can get from everyone. lol. Thanks, LawsonP! Wish i could get 153/160 as well!

You can do it, Nikita!

I spoke with a nursing advisor today and he says that from Spring 2018 semester and forward there will be 58 seats instead of 48.

Is it 58 or 56 I was told it will be 56 by Ken Tellis. Monday is the deadline for the application then we have about a month of waiting. Good luck everyone

Hey Nikita, did you ever get the chance to retake the test? If so did you do better than the first time?

I'm super nervous about getting in! I got a overall 93 on the Hesi with a 3.76 gpa! Now its just a waiting game. I really hope i did well enough? Does anybody know when they'll be sending out acceptance letters?
