Hey guys I'm currently taking my last prerequisites for entry into the RN program this spring. So here are my stats: 145/160.. haven't taken the hesi yet, I plan to do after this semester is over. Talk to me. Let's hear some stats
Hello everyone,
My names Dannielle and I have applied to the RN program at TCC. My gpa is a 3.02 and my HESI score is a 92. My overall score for the program is a 140/160. Does anyone know of someone who was accepted into the program with similar stats? This will be my second time applying. I was not accepted Fall of 2017 but at the time my score was 131/160. I'm definitely more confident in my score now, just a little worried I may end up being an alternate.
I've been reading this forum for a while now and I've finally decided to post in hopes of talking to/getting to know my possible classmates. :)
Also because of Hurricane Irma, the deadline for the program was changed to September 21. So this may effect when we receive acceptance letters!
Hey Denniella, to answer your question I read some previous classes about some other people getting in with around the same score ad yours but some people were put on the alternative list. Two of my current coworkers are in the program and one of them had a 140 and she got in without being on the alternate list.
Thanks guys for making me feel a little better about my application! I'm starting to feel a little more confident :)
Does anyone have any idea where we have to do our drug test? I live about 2 hours away from Tallahassee and I know that I can do my physical in my hometown but will I have to drive to Tallahassee to do the drug test? Do they require us to go to a specific location or could I go to any Labcorp or Quest Diagnostic and take the urine test? If anyone knows of someone who was accepted last semester would you mind asking what all has to be done once we receive our acceptance emails? I'm trying to figure out how much I need to save up for the doctor appointments and also the drug test! Thanks again everyone!

Sorry, I don't know the answer to this, you might have to call and ask or wait till emails go out and they should say then.
Hey everyone,My GPA for my pre-reqs including microbiology is a 3.5. What would be a solid HESI score for me to be accepted into the program? I don't plan to apply until Fall 2018 but I want to make sure I have enough time!
What is your pre-req GPA without microbiology? Unfortunately they don't count that class in your points, it only gives you a boost if you and someone else have the same amount of points but you already have microbiology (and humanities) done, so you'd get chosen instead of the other person. I would say aim for around a 93 or so on the HESI, since Fall is harder to get into. Good luck!
Hey guys I have started taking the typical nursing pre reqs, and want to apply to tcc for fall 2018. Would someone be able to tell me what the pre-reqs are? I have been looking on the website and the only thing about pre-reqs I can find is an academic map that shows pre-req semesters. Is Mac1105, PSY2012, HUM and ENC1101 part of the pre-reqs gpa?

It's only be email and it's 6-8 weeks from the application deadline so around the middle of October best case scenario and end of October worse case. Good luck
