Hey, I was wondering if there was anyone else applying for the Fall 2021 Nursing program and how hopeful you feel about getting in? I am so nervous ?

I've got 2 elementary aged kids and a husband who works evenings, so the only reason this going back to school thing was going to work was because I'd be in school at the same time they were.
It is posted on the TCC Nursing webpage....maybe Program Overview with the prerequisites? It really seems like there are a lot of us mommas in the program, and yeah, there is no way to be a parent and do the evening session (especially not a single parent). That's why I'm so stressed out about this first 30 people thing. ?

I'm a "non-degree seeking" student and no one seems to know how to change that....I keep getting passed from one department to the next. ? I would suggest calling Financial Aid because I doubt nursing will know the answer for you.
I have no clue what to expect from orientation.
It took me a bunch of emails, a discussion board post, several phone calls, and 2 in-person visits to admissions to solve a similar issue.
Eventually someone who referred to herself as an admissions navigator sent me a form to fill out that was some sort of program of study change declaration. Once I signed that and emailed it back, the change was made quickly and workday updated to show nursing as my program of study.
Is there a particular way that we’re supposed to complete the flu vaccine requirement? Obviously it isn’t being offered right now and they’re aware of that, but I’m not sure how to check it off my CastleBranch requirements. Right now it just says declined but it’s the only thing I have left so I’m feeling a little antsy about it.

I sent an email earlier with this exact question. I'm not sure if we can leave it "incomplete" or if we need to submit a declination form. If I hear back before you do, I'll post the response here.

Also confirmed with the Dept of Health that I needed to either do the titer or take the series over again. If I did the titer and it determined I needed the vaccine again it would be a waste of time so it’s best to just do it again. I got a new requirement for the second in the series and asked Gloria to confirm that this won’t delay admission until I get those vaccines in. I’ll let y’all know what she says.
is there anyone moving back into the city for school? I’m apartment shopping as we speak. Anyone have any recommendations?
Hey, how is your apartment shopping going? I’m coming from Broward so I know it’s stressful. The Forum is really nice and it’s not too far from the school.

Heyyy another South Florida person ? I’m from Miami but was living in Oakland Park/Wilton Manors area. Did you find housing? I’m working on it as we speak. If you have a link to your place and it has availability drop it here!
