Hello everyone. I got my license in January and haven't been able to find a job in long term care. I am working for an agency and have my first assignment on Saturday (7a to 7p.) My only experience is from my clinical sites. I am working as an aid now so I have learned a little more. What is your advice to me? The agency told me to 'act like I know what I am doing' but in reality I have never had 20-30 patients on my own. A friend of mine said that it is mainly passing meds and doing paperwork. Needless to say my anxiety level is through the roof but I can't afford to not take the job. I will make more than double as an aid even though that is more comfortable...
