Taking my nclex in 2weeks

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I have used UWORLD QBANK as a study guide for my nclex. I started it on Jan 6th and gave myself a month to prepare and sofar I have done more than 1000 questions. I have also been googling other sample questions from KAPLAN and HURST review but I have to say questions from UWORLD are pretty hard compared to all other sites. My average score is alwayz 55 and above. I dont know if thats good enough to pass NCLEX on my first try. Has anyone ever used UWORLD? Is anything you advise me to do different this last week of preparation? I am really very scared and nervous, I hardly sleep😢😢😢

I just took my nclex and passed with 75 questions. UWORLD is in my opinion harder than NCLEX. Aim for a 60% average as that is what uworld states is passing for nclex. Good luck!

I agree with mommy rn I am using it myself and also remediate the missed questions. The questions are challenging but I understand it better when I read the rationales. Best if success in our Nclex

Thank you so much and congrats to you... I have one more week to finalize my reading. How SATA questions did you get? Were they as challenging as the ones on UWORLD?

Actually dont focus on how many SATAs you get. I got about 10 and still passed with 75 qns. SATAs as u know are about knowing the material and not over thinking the qn. I rather got alot of teaching and prioritizations.. Also know your diets. Good luck!

I also just passed the NCLEX. To prepare, I spent a good 2 weeks reviewing the Saunders book, especially Mat/Peds since I felt as though I forgot everything I learned that semester. About 20 questions in, I had to take a moment and give myself a pep talk because I was over-thinking everything. I had 10-15 SATA and lots of prioritization and delegation questions. After about an hour and 75 questions later, I walked out feeling like I just got run over by a train. A day later, I found out I passed! Just be sure to take the extra 3 seconds and read each question twice so that you are absolutely sure of what it's asking. Good luck!

I did Kaplan throughout nursing school as a requirement. The questions, to me were tougher than what I've seen on UWorld, but I like UWorld because it is more straight forward and has less side information that you have to weed out of the question. But, take it with a grain of salt because everybody has said that every review is harder than NCLEX. Maybe so, because the overwhelming majority of test takes pass the first time. Those who do not are in the minority.

Keep doing what you are doing as it seems to be successful for you. Good luck on the exam, i've got 3 more weeks to buckle down.
