Taking my nclex on SATURDAY(yikes!) ... Wish me luck.

Published

today, my husband called me from work and said that he checked my email and that my att came. i immediately broke down in tears because it seems like forever i've been waiting for this email. graduating from nursing school was a huge accomplishment and i'm grateful. after the pinning ceremony and seemed as though the earth stood still. i was not working , not in school, and just basically trying to figure out what to do. ofcourse i've been studying but not working really took a hold on me financially and emotionally. my husband does not make enough to take care of us so i new the sooner i got my att, the sooner i can take nclex, and the sooner i'll have a shot at getting a job as a nurse.

anyway, i scheduled my exam for this saturday and i'm asking for all of your prayers and support. i don't have another 200 dollars to retake the exam so i'm really trying to pass on the first try. i've been praying and fasting and i know god will come through for me.i've read other posts and i don't feel like i'm doing as much as others in preparing, but for the next two days i'm going to study like i'm losing my mind. well, i better pop in my cd and start studying. boy oh boy i can't wait until saturday !!!!! :p:nurse:

you will do fine, and dont feel discouraged because you are not doing as much as others in preparing for the exam, every person has their unique study plan that works for them. I know i felt the same way, i would read threads and would see how people would have 5 different books to study from and taking Kaplan, that worked for them, but you WILL be just fine with your study material. I only used saunders and kaplan strategy book, so dont worry. Good luck...and tell yourself on saturday before testing, I WILL BE AN RN TODAY!

UPDATE- I just finished then nclex exam and whew was it difficult. I literally felt like I was guessing the entire time. Had alot of drugs( only a few I recognized). I stopped at the minimum which is 85 Q's. I feel numb right now. I almost want to try the trick but I'm so scared, so I may wait. I pray God will give me the strength to cope either way.

Sounds like you did good. Good luck.
