Well the time is finally here! I am taking my boards in just 4 days! I get nervous and then I get excited!! I am nervous just because that is the type of person I am. I wonder what if they ask me ONLY questions I don't know? What if I clam up and second guess everything?! I have been working on relaxing throughout all my practice exams - which leads me to the excited part. The more practice I do with questions the more confident I become. I feel like my school has decently prepared me. I get to a question and am flooded with memories of my first semester. I am amazed that the introductory info still fits in my tiny brain! I have been using Kaplan on demand for my review. I go through periods where I find it useful and then where I find their rationales quite far fetched. But, overall, I am very glad that I purchased it. Anyway for those of you that took Kaplan, feel free to tell me if you think (based on my scores below) that I am ready. some scores are better than others, but on average I normally scored at or above the 65% Kaplan says you should aim for. I feel ready! Just nervous :/ and, please, EVERYONE feel free to give me words of wisdom and encouragement (and prayers!). This site is always so encouraging and inspirational. I need a little of that!
Qbank (93% completed-will finish in the next 2 days) average 64%
Diagnostic -69%
Q trainer 1 - 67%
Q trainer 2 - 65%
Q trainer 3 - 58%
Q trainer 4 - 65%
Q trainer 5 - 55% (yikes!)
Q trainer 6 - 68%
Q trainer 7 - 67%
Readiness - 71%
I also think I am nervous about the SATA questions, as I do not feel Kaplan has given me much practice with them. I have heard NCLEX SATA are not as difficult as Kaplans...opinions?
Thanks everyone for all your support! This website has been a godsend from the first moment I decided I wanted to become a nurse...all the way until now :)
No it was because I kinda raced through it :/ when I review I don't look everything up...just if it was something that was real foggy. I think it's awesome that you are taking that much time on your review! I wish I had that discipline! I just review my answers and if I got it wrong I just reason eith myself that the question was dumb or I had a momentary brain fart ha! Someone shared with me that we should slooooow down the week before our test. They compared it to a marathon...that you don't do any long runs the week before the big race. We should be taking this time for becoming mentally prepared! Makes sense...so I'm trying to take it easy. I think you should too! Less than 48 hrs now...eeek![/quote']I just reeeaaally don't wanna fail this time. Im gonna take a nap and get back into reviewing and do more questions.
Enjoy your massage!! Lol
I did not get my massage! DamnBut I took the test today and it stopped at 75 and I am getting the good pop up! God, I hope that is accurate....
YOU SCARED MEE!!! i thought you said "i didn't get the good message!" meaning the pop up. then again the way the text was written, the word "good" is right underneathe "massage" and i read it too fast and thought you said you didn't get the good pop! #heartattack lol
but yay for the good pop up! hey! i thought you didn't believe in it hehe jk
can't wait to hear the official results!!
