Hello guys I am taking the NCLEX-RN on Monday and I am just wondering how long does the IL BON takes to post your license online. I will try the quick results but I'd like to know too if IL is one of the states that takes a little longer or right away. Thank you.
P.S. If I do want to check it online should I just go to the ''license lookup'' at the idfpr page? Thanks!

Has your License posted online yet? I took my NCLEX on Feb 5th and got my pass letter on the 9th. I sent them the bottom of my pass letter along with a $50 check for the licensing fee over night mail and the tracking number shows they received my mail on the 10th. I start orientation next week and am really hoping my license gets posted online this week ? . Can anyone else share some insight on when their license number posted online?
KLayco, I am on the exact same time frame as you. I took it on the 5th, and received my letter on the 9th. I sent it in that day. I have called numerous times to see where they are in the process since classmates of mine took it the week before me have been up on the site for nearly 2 weeks. She told me to wait 2 more weeks and call back. I think that is absolutely insane! Anytime I have spoken to someone on the phone about anything with the Illinois BON they are beyond rude and NOT forthcoming with answers/solutions to questions or issues.
I need to transfer my license to Iowa for my job. They wanted me to start in the beginning of March, but with Illinois taking so long I don't think that will happen. I will probably have to push my start date back to the beginning of April. I can't even get my license transferred until they issue my license and it is posted on the IDFPR website. BEYOND FRUSTRATING!
I seriously do not understand how paper processing at this point in the process could possibly take this long. We've already gone through everything else in the process before NCLEX! Give me my license! hahaha

Ahhhh its soooo annoying! I totally understand how you feel. I call every week also and the people at the BON call center are so mean and rude. Sheesh! I'm on the other end of the phone thinking "okay well I'm just calling to find out. I think I have that right since I just spent the last three years working on my degree and just passed NCLEX. I deserve my license!" lol. glad I am not alone. Thanks for responding. I hope we both hear something soon!
The only thing I could think of to explain it could be that the "traffic" of new license test takers was lower in the last week of January than the first week of February. Honestly.... I'm just grasping at straws. The girl that took her test the day before mine hasn't gotten hers on the website either. I'm not sure what the hold up is, but it is just extremely frustrating!
Keep me posted on updates for you!

I will for sure keep you posted. Keep me posted on the status of yours as well. I called the state reps office this morning and the lady told me that as of yesterday the status of my file was being reviewed by the board. Hopefully itll be posted in the next coming days/week.
I am in a similar situation. I mailed the letter with the check on Feb. 12, but I made the mistake of mailing it via REGULAR MAIL. So from Chicago to Springfield I suppose it would take around 3 days (that if they don't lose it! lol).
Assuming that they got it on Feb 16th, I am in a similar time frame as yours (later than yours) so please keep updating the status. I will do the same! I start my orientation on March 26th, I still have some time.. but you can't help but worry!!!
Hi Kriggs19 and almaguerrn! I was at work last night from 3-11pm and noticed around 6 pm that my check has been cashed by the BON. I checked to see if the I was on the BON but i wasnt. Hopefully I see my name appear on it sometime today. Usually its a good sign when your check gets cashed right? Keeping my fingers crossed for us too! Hope we all appear on the BON site soon.

Application was mailed on 12/9/14. I received my Authorization to Test (ATT) on 12/22/14. About 2 weeks to get my ATT.
