Taking NCLEX, when is license posted online (IL)?
I know KLayco, a guy yesterday told me the same thing 6-8 weeks (before that I thought it was only 3-4 weeks). It was my first time calling so you could imagine my surprise!! So, you start orientation in 2 weeks... do you know what could happen if the time comes and your license didn't show up yet? Mine starts in 3 weeks... so wondering the same!

Taking NCLEX, when is license posted online (IL)?
I am in a similar situation. I mailed the letter with the check on Feb. 12, but I made the mistake of mailing it via REGULAR MAIL. So from Chicago to Springfield I suppose it would take around 3 days (that if they don't lose it! lol). Assuming that they got it on Feb 16th, I am in a similar time frame as yours (later than yours) so please keep updating the status. I will do the same! I start my orientation on March 26th, I still have some time.. but you can't help but worry!!!

Taking NCLEX, when is license posted online (IL)?
Thank you so much! So now that I know that it takes a little bit more time... when do you suggest I should start applying to jobs if I know I passed the NCLEX but the BON still doesn't upload my license number? Is there a way I can prove to the hospital that I passed the NCLEX but I am just waiting for the license to be posted? Thanks!!!

Taking NCLEX, when is license posted online (IL)?
Hello guys I am taking the NCLEX-RN on Monday and I am just wondering how long does the IL BON takes to post your license online. I will try the quick results but I'd like to know too if IL is one of the states that takes a little longer or right away. Thank you. P.S. If I do want to check it online should I just go to the ''license lookup'' at the idfpr page? Thanks!

NCLEX stress and impact on relationships
I know perhaps this is the least important subject to discuss on this forum, but maybe there are a few out there who are going through a similar experience. I take my exam this coming Monday and the past weeks have been stressful and now even more. I am usually a quiet person who doesn't express stress easily (I usually keep it inside me) but lately it's getting worse. I am 27 years old and I have been in a two year relationship, yes we have had the usual ups and downs like in every other relationship but as time gets closer to the NCLEX I have noticed we are fighting more. Not only with him but I have also have unnecesary discussion with my parents and so on. It breaks my heart that I am starting to hurt him, and I hope we can get through this. I just feel like I am going crazy!!!!!!! This is such a difficult time for me and everything everyone does doesn't seem to be ''enough'' to help alleviate this. I know they are trying but I am having a hard time seeing it or even ackowledging it. I hope somebody out there can give me their opinion, I can't wait for everything to be over soon!

Nclex anxiety
I believe you can pass. I heard someone say that content is important for NCLEX (obviously) but the other 50% is attitude. So, I am keeping that in mind because I take my exam in two weeks. Just keep in mind that you WILL face questions that you never thought of and difficult... but when you do, relax, and use the content you have and even if you don't know the answer breathe and approach with security,... keeping this in mind and going to the next question... and also don't freak out if the exam doesn't stop at 75, keep trying, take breaks. NCLEX doesn't expect you to know 50% of their exam... so try to keep the positive attitude...

2 weeks from my exam date
Hello everybody, I am a foreign educated nurse and I will be taking the NCLEX-RN Monday February 2nd. I've been studying since last year, studied and practiced questions from LaCharity, Saunders, Lippincott's, Kaplan, ATI. Now the time is almost here and I am starting to feel nervous! I just completed the Kaplan Q Trainers (the ones you find online) and my scores were: QT1 64% QT2 69% QT3 70% QT4 65% QT5 67% QT6 71% QT7 65% For what I understand and I've been reading here at the forum is that anything above 60% is good? This confuses me a little because somebody told me (with Saunders and ATI) anything above 80% is good. I found Kaplan's questions to be more difficult compared to Saunders (that are more content focused). I don't know about you guys but I didn't like Lippincott's Questions so much so I didn't finish all the questions on that book. From ATI I used the application that has about 800 questions and also did a couple of their comprehensive practice assessment exams (150 questions each). I like them but that was before Kaplan :) So my question is what should I do in these last 2 weeks? I was thinking on getting the NCSBN review (the 3 week package) and practice their questions. I just don't want to stop practicing because I feel that I will forget everything lol. People say NCSBN questions are complicated and even ''harder'' than the actual NCLEX but I don't know. I have an obsession with the scores because like I said they seem to vary according the author. From Saunders I started around the 60s and end up with an 80-81% in the last ones I took. Same with ATI, started around the 60s sometimes I would get 86% (I remember that score being the highest). With Lippincott's never made it higher than 70s. Anyway!! Sorry for so many numbers I don't want to overwhelm you guys. I'm also aware that scores in the end are just numbers, the important thing is how you study. So I would appreciate any suggestion. Thank you! T

Foreign Educated Nurses already working (or in process) in the USA, help!!
Hi Nurses! I have a question regarding the licensure in the state of Illinois for Foreign Educated Nurses (But I know some states have similar requirements). Basically they give us 3 options for the proof of education equivalency (see at the end of this post), my question is which one (in your experience) takes less time to have. The price is not really a problem (I know prices vary), I just want to try to ''accelerate'' the process as much as I can. Thank you so much!!!! P.S. IF ONE OF THE OPTIONS YOU CHOOSE IS THE CES REPORT, THEY OFFER TWO AGENCIES: Which one is better? CGFNS or ERES? PROOF OF EDUCATION EQUIVALENCY IN THE FORM OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED: Credential Evaluation Service Report and Proof of Passage of either TOEFL or IELTS; OR, VisaScreen Certificate (original), OR, CGFNS Certificate (original) CES Report The CES "Credential Evaluation Service" Healthcare Profession & Science Course by Course Report must be obtained through one of the following credentialing service vendors: Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) (Request a Nursing and Science, Course by Course report. Request the "Full Education" report only if you think you will be attending graduate school in the United States some time in the future.) Education Records Evaluation Service, Inc. (Request a Nursing Evaluation and Course by Course report.) THE DEPARTMENT WILL DOWNLOAD THE CES REPORT FROM THE RESPECTIVE AGENCY WEBSITE.
