Taking NCLEX in February.. need advice!

Published

So to prepare for the NCLEX I have Kaplan and U world. I haven't been scoring high on Kaplan at all..

diagnostic: 64%

trainer 1: 59%

trainer 2: 56%

trainer 3: 46%

trainer 4: 61%

trainer 5: 53%

trainer 6: 54%

and I'm not sure how to find my q bank average... if someone could tell me how to that would be awesome but off the top of my head I've done maybe 250 q bank questions so far and I'm averaging low 50's.

I'm getting very discouraged and feeling like I'm not getting better jsut getting worse as I practice!

Also, I have u world, which I haven't used much of yet. Since you can create your own tests, does anyone have advice on how to utilize u world and create the tests?

Thanks so so much in advance!

I was scheduled for February 14th, but I was getting freaked out (psyching myself out)... so I changed my test date to... Friday January 27th!!!

I just found out today that I passed.

Here's my Kaplan info:

  • Diagnostic A: 55.6%
  • QT 1: 60%
  • QT 2: 65.3%
  • QT 3: 54%
  • QT 4: 53.3%
  • QT 5: 54.7%
  • QT 6: 57%
  • QT 7: 55.1%
  • Q Bank: 57% (I completed all but 160 questions. I repeated some that I missed AND Kaplan kicked me off making it look like I didn't reach 98 questions… Therefore, this percentage is NOT accurate).
  • Readiness: 66.1%

ETA: I had a little over 100 questions. 21 SATA, 1 med math, lots of prioritizing...

I just posted earlier tonight about everything y'all have been talking about. Here is the link to my post. It might help to ease some of your anxieties and answer some of your questions.

@beccaz07 That's a great idea! I posted above about my experience with nclex. I to went back through Uworld and did all the questions I got incorrect. :)

NEED HELP!

I want to get registered, I live in Pakistan and we do not have NCLEX-RN here. If any one could lead me through a brief guidance about the registration process please.

Angiena,

I'm taking mine next week for the 3rd time. This time, I studied with uworld. What was your score before the test? I' m thinking of rescheduling ....

my test score was in the range of 50-60% i did not take the self assesment!!..what are u studying other than uworld right now,?

Hi, i am also taking my exam on next week. Studied with Kaplan and saunders. Nervous to think of SATA

practise a lot on SATA

Oh my God, angina. I only studied with uworld. My average is 52%. I started to answer my incorrect ones. I thought knew, I should extend my exam. Thank you for sharing.

Just took NCLEX Jan. 31, 2017. Passed with 75 questions.

From my experience:

Had about 1/2 select all that apply.

Big focus on priority care & patient assignments.

It was somewhat difficult, but it wasn't horrible. Totally doable. I used Saunders comprehensive review and some NCLEX 4000.

How u felt the questions? I mean any similarity with nclex 4000
