  1. Just took NCLEX Jan. 31, 2017. Passed with 75 questions. From my experience: Had about 1/2 select all that apply. Big focus on priority care & patient assignments. It was somewhat difficult, but it wasn't horrible. Totally doable. I used Saunders comprehensive review and some NCLEX 4000.
  2. Thank you for all of the replies, and words of advice. I appreciate the feedback. I guess I will just have stick it out and hope that over time my confidence grows, and I become a little more at ease.
  3. Hello, I am a nursing student and just wanted some advice. I am terrified that once I am able to work on my own, I am going to make a huge mistake and kill someone. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm really worried that I'm going to mess up big time. Also, I am afraid that my stomach may not be able to handle some of the smells. Such as vomit, #2 etc. and I'm going to hurt a patient's feelings if I gag or something. Did anyone else worry about these things? Have you ever gagged over a smell? How do you overcome your fear of killing someone?
  4. Once you get into the Nursing program, you will realize there will be no time for "girly talk" at work. You will be getting your a** handed to you most of the time. Also, good luck finding a job that pays decent working in a lab. A friend of mine has a BS biology with 8 years experience and the best she could fine was $10/hour at a community college lab. Yeah. SHe is a waitress now.
  5. I would say Chemistry. Only because Micro labs require you to be there more than just your scheduled lab time and this will be really annoying in the summer. I had to be at my Micro lab 5 days a week sometimes. Chem labs are in & out. You do the lab, you're done for the day. Also, chem is easy if you read your book. A&P Learn well! I am in my 1st semester Nursing program and we are expected to know that stuff like the back of our hand. Esp for Pathophysiology/Pharmacology. Just heads up. Good luck. :)
