  1. Would you guys say Kaplan or u world is more like the NCLEX?? If anyone has taken it already
  2. I am taking it February 15 th :)
  3. So to prepare for the NCLEX I have Kaplan and U world. I haven't been scoring high on Kaplan at all.. diagnostic: 64% trainer 1: 59% trainer 2: 56% trainer 3: 46% trainer 4: 61% trainer 5: 53% trainer 6: 54% and I'm not sure how to find my q bank average... if someone could tell me how to that would be awesome but off the top of my head I've done maybe 250 q bank questions so far and I'm averaging low 50's. I'm getting very discouraged and feeling like I'm not getting better jsut getting worse as I practice! Also, I have u world, which I haven't used much of yet. Since you can create your own tests, does anyone have advice on how to utilize u world and create the tests? Thanks so so much in advance!
  4. Thank you all! I'm in NJ and the ADN program does not offer preceptorships as far as I am aware of
  5. Hello all! :) My dream is to eventually become a NICU nurse one day. Here's a little bit of background.. I am a nursing student in an ADN program, with two semesters left.. My plan is to get my BSN directly after graduation. I currently work as a CNA on a med surg floor, and the hospital I am is hires new head nurses who already work within the hospital over nurses who do not work in the hospital. I want to transfer floors as a CNA so I can get my foot in the door on a floor that would guide me to working in the NICU. I am not a fan of med surg nursing at all..and I can't picture myself being a nurse there. So my question is, what kind of background do you need before applying to NICU positions? What floor would be most beneficial for me to start working as a nurse on? Thanks in advance :)
