Hi everyone!! I applied to Southern Westchester Boces and I am scheduled to take my entrance exam next Thursday. I am looking for anyone who has attended or has recently been accepted to the school. Or even anyone who knows anything about the test and scores needed in order to get accepted. I'm getting very nervous about the exam and any advice would be appreciated. I am curious to know how students are accepted - what scores are they looking for? Thank you!
hi, my name is ally. I just went for my interview at Northport on June 30th. Does anyone know how long it will take until I know what the decision is? I'm so anxious. This is my second interview, I had one last may but did not get in. The woman seemed very positive, and told me I was definatley qualified and that I seem much more confident than last year but I'm so nervous. I want this so bad.
Not sure where Northport is, but I know that every school is different.. you may get your decision letter 2 weeks from now or 1 month from now. I would call the school and ask how long it usually takes to get a letter. With Southern Westchester Boces, most people got their decision letter within a week from the day that they had their interview. Good luck!
I'm so happy I found this thread! I have applied to the Ulster BOCES PN program. Last october, I took the TEAS test, and passed everything BUT the math. At their program, you need at least a 40% to be considered. The first time I took the TEAS test, I got a 38%. I wanted to scream, so close. I recently re-took the exam june 3rd. Because I passed everything but the math, I was required only to re-take the math part. 39% AHHH. So..this is obviously killing me, because I want to be in this program so bad. I'm 23...I've been to a 4 year (for a year, it was ridiculously expensive, I went to Maine.) took some time off and worked. Went to community college, tried a few different majors out. I did recieve a certificate in Sign language interpreting, but I've always had nursing in the back of my head. I just feel like I'm ready to start a career and my life, and this is how I want to do it. Anyway, I have studied for the math part endlessly, so I don't know if I become nervous and let it get the best of me or whatever. I've emailed and called and left messages to re-take the exam. But I guess they are notorious for not calling back? lol. I also made mention that I took medical terminology AND anatomy and physiology 1 and 2 the past 2 semesters to help further prepare for the program. Anyone else have this problem?
