Hi everyone!! I applied to Southern Westchester Boces and I am scheduled to take my entrance exam next Thursday. I am looking for anyone who has attended or has recently been accepted to the school. Or even anyone who knows anything about the test and scores needed in order to get accepted. I'm getting very nervous about the exam and any advice would be appreciated. I am curious to know how students are accepted - what scores are they looking for? Thank you!
Hi ladies, thank u so much wonder Woman and Alicia for your advise. I am very nervous, I hope I will do well tomorrow. I have wanted to do nursing for a long time now. I am so grateful for the interview. I hope all goes well. I was told that it could be a four person interview:confused:. I will post how it went tomorrow. Wonder Woman thanks for the questions im going to go on the web adress too.
Wonder Woman, I already posted two threads for any recent grads to tell us any useful information about the program. I will keep you updated if I find out any information!
Alicia, I agree. Enjoying our freedom is the best thing we could do right now... I know we are all eager to begin the program.. but I'm sure once we start and get bombarded with school work, we will be wishing we still had our freedom! lol.
Gigi, I'm sure you'll do just fine. I was only interviewed by one person.... and then met the program coordinator toward the end of my interview. She came in briefly to introduce herself. So you probably won't get interviewed by 4 people. Just prepare by going over the questions... and you'll be okay. Be confident and smile! Good luck and let us all know how it goes. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Hello ladies, well I had my interview today, I was a little nervous but I think it went well. The lady who interviewed me was very nice. She shook my hand and smiled at the end. She said that the committee has to review it and make a decision. I hope I get an acceptance letter. I'm thinking positive though.
Wow, I think only a fool would say they want to be a nurse for the money. I was dressed to impress and very proffessional. I'm a optimistic person however, the waiting makes it seem like it can go either way. Thanks to the questions everyone posted I was well prepared. I'll let y'all know when I get my letter.
im hoping to get in the 1199 union with a hospital position so i have been looking mostly at Montefiore. they help to pay for your RN and alot of other great benefits. plus once you have hospital experience as a new RN you are practically a shoe in. but my second choice is the HHC hospitals. My mom was in 1199 for years from a CNA to an LPN and they helped pay for nursing school for her, but now she is with HHC.
