SW Boces Entrance Exam

Hi everyone!! I applied to Southern Westchester Boces and I am scheduled to take my entrance exam next Thursday. I am looking for anyone who has attended or has recently been accepted to the school. Or even anyone who knows anything about the test and scores needed in order to get accepted. I'm getting very nervous about the exam and any advice would be appreciated. I am curious to know how students are accepted - what scores are they looking for? Thank you!

Wow!!!! so yo have to basically come up with $1700.00 up front... or do they take the fees for books and supplies from finiancial aid if qualified?:confused:

NT- no I haven't can you believe it?? When I call, they just tell me to calm down and be patient but I have his fear that they Lost my test and never graded it and they won't look into it for another month or so and when they finally do tll be too late b/c they already finished interviews haha... Seriously though any advice? It's really not fair to me....

Stephanie- can you just clarify- you got your phone call for an interview 1 week after you received scores?

just got the mail and no scores AGAIN- i called and they kept transferring me to someone else and i finally get a voice mail...

i know right...but im afraid they didnt get my score either? did they lose my test?? lol...now i can only wait and see if you get a call! based on previous patterns, most likely wed or thurs....

Who did you speak to? Just a secretary or a counselor? Maybe you could try speaking to the counselor... or the supervisor... they are both very nice. I don't want to mention anyone's name on the thread.. but if you want their names, you can PM me. What if you contact the test company, C-Net? Not sure if that will help... but I emailed them once regarding the practice test and they were very quick to respond. Hope this helps!

NT- i am soooooooo happy for you...thank you for being so supportive and informative to everyone throughout this whole process im sooooo glad you got in!!

and per your advice- i called CNET...they are RESENDING my scores...they maliled it out w/ everyone else's must have just not made it here HA...how annoying they wouldnt give me scores over the phone?! at this rate, i may just get a phone call before i get my scores from cnet....fingers crossed...and thank u for the advice!!

Honestly at this point i dont know if i got a 20 or a 90..i really cant tell anymore. Definitely think i did well in language, reading was a lot harder than i had expected but i think i did fine, and im nervous about math b/c i didnt finish on time and guessed on the last ten so thats the score thats making me really anxious! esp pretty much finding out from everyone else u cant have more than 12 wrong to make it into 50 percentile...
