Hi everyone!! I applied to Southern Westchester Boces and I am scheduled to take my entrance exam next Thursday. I am looking for anyone who has attended or has recently been accepted to the school. Or even anyone who knows anything about the test and scores needed in order to get accepted. I'm getting very nervous about the exam and any advice would be appreciated. I am curious to know how students are accepted - what scores are they looking for? Thank you!
I have no idea what we'll be doing for 4 days of orientation...LOL. When I went to college, we had orientation for like 3 hours. I was told by BOCES that the night classes only have orientation 1 time for 4 hours.
You guys are soooo lucky to be going on vacation! My mom is moving to Naples, FL in about 1 month, and as soon as she does, we're going down to stay there and go to Disney & Universal for a few days. She better move before school starts! Hahaha.
Yeah seriously! LOL. But at least its something.. its like a mini vacation and Florida has beautiful weather. Do as much as you can before school starts because when school starts, our social lives are over!
So I guess we'll be meeting on August 30th! I can't even tell you how excited I am.... in one year from now, we will be LPNs !!!
The only thing I'm worried about right now is that my husband is currently jobless & looking for a job.... if he doesn't find one soon, then i'm not sure what to do. I was planning on paying for school out of pocket, but I wouldn't be able to do it while working part-time. I can't take out a loan or get financial aid because I owe WCC money and I have a loan with them as well. I'm in a horrible situation
my issue right now is not loans and etc.. i plan to resign my job and ill have all the help in finances that i need from my bf for the whole time im in school. plus im gettin full financial aid which is about 1/2 the tuition and grants.. but the only worries i have is this initial $1700.00.. the $900 dwn and $800 @ orientation.

Hey Stephanie, I'm also very excited to start... I can't wait. September feels so far away from now. But yes, I'm sure we'll need our summer to relax because we won't be doing much of that when school starts! It will all be worth it though :)... What do we do during those 4 days of orientation?
