hi, thanks for all the info that you provide.
I was wondering if you could answer my question please. I live in scotland uk,am adult nurse student with a future aim of being a nurse in usa. Alot of usa nursing agencies advertise here and they say that if you have one year experience in acute care then it is fine. You could apply with them. Was just wondering, does that mean that, I dont need alll the other 40hours classes of child nursing and mental health nursing classes? please help.
Just a few months for each. Big difference, from the U.K.
Your program in the UK makes you a specialist in that area, the US only requires that you meet at least the minimum number of hours for each of these subjects. Any of the programs in the US do.
With the way that schedules are set up at many of the schools in the US, you may be able to do both during the same time.
Now put a smile on your face for the weekend!! :balloons: :balloons:
Hope that this helps.............

By the way, do you know how many months the additional courses take?
