Surgical Tech Program Interview

I just finished all of my core classes in college and have been selected for an interview for the surgical tech program. They only accept 12 students per semester. I am suppose to write an essay saying why I want to become a surgical tech. I have all of the basic reasons why but I need something unique and different I want to wow them! I freeze when I am put on the spot and I am super nervous. If anyone could tell me how their interview went or what kind of questions they asked it would be greatly appreciated. Also I would love to know why you became a surgical tech or in the medical field. Thanks so much! (This is not a job interview it is to get into the program.)

    I'm not sure how many answers you'll get specific to getting into surgical tech programs since this is a website for nurses. Perhaps there are some sites out there specific to the sort of program you're considering.
