Hi,

I am newer nurse and i just found out i am pregnant. I am really not sure what our floor policy is on contact patients and all of that. I really dont mind taking certain patients especially if there on contact because ...hey at least i know and can protect myself. I really dont want to use this as an excuse not to work, i just want to be safe! If i worked any other job i would not want to tell them unitll i had at least seen a dr. But my doc wont see me till December. I know a lot of nurses have had babies! so i am not the first one out there, please share any info! Thanks

Are you handling any antineoplastics?

no i work on a tele floor, a lot of mrsa and cdiff, even had a rule out h1n1. I dont mind taking the mrsa and cdiff, but i would say something if i was assigned h1n1 rule out...since its so bad for pregnant women.

Congrats on your pregnancy:)
