I looked around hoping to find a thread but only found previous years. I applied early September for the program and have seen been playing the waiting game. I'd like to hear from others who applied, maybe I can help answer some questions and we can all offer each other support.
Usually they send out emails in 2-3 waves. Waves are sent in consecutive days according to previous blogs. The first wave appears to be sent last Friday. I am not sure if the weekend hindered that in some way. However, it seems that the only day people have received emails so far was Friday. Also, trying to remain hopeful. October 12th is much earlier than previous years.
Thank you! I'll definitely share my experience following the interview. This is just the first wave that went out, and as others mentioned, it went out much earlier than previous years. Don't worry about not hearing back yet. I'd be surprised if they don't send out more this week or early next week.
@futurenursing4 - The email came from Jan Kavazanjian who works with the admissions office at Stony Brook, I received it at 1:38pm on Friday (1/12), and it said "...you've been selected for an onsite interview." The waiting game is the worst, but don't let it mess with you too much. It's still so early! I wish you the best of luck.
