Hello Everybody!
I didn't see a discussion for the Farmingdale Spring 2017 class so I figured I would start one up! Just took my TEAS and came out with an 87.3, but my pre-reqs are what's worrying me. I graduated UMass Amherst back in Spring of 2014 with my BS in Kinesiology and decided after two years of working insurance, that it isn't for me. Came out of school with a 3.1 overall GPA because I was an idiot who liked to do more socializing then school work. Unfortunately it took 2 years of me working in the real world to realize that being a nurse is what I really want to do with my life.
My pre-reqs are:
A&P I & II - B+ in both (A in A&P I Lab and B+ in A&P II lab)
Stat - C+ in general statistics, A- in Biostats (no idea what they'll take)
Psych - B
English - B
I'm hoping someone can possibly give me some feedback based on previous experience? Thank you! Good luck to all

Hi! thanks for starting this :) I applied for the Spring 2017 program. I'm hoping to hear back soon, today was the last day for TEAS submission!

Just checked the OASIS portal and I GOT IN! "Accepted - prior conditions" Guessing this means I just have to pass A&P II which I'm taking right now. SO RELIEVED AND EXCITED I cannot even express it in words. Farmingdale is my #1 choice due to cost and only being 20 minutes from my house! Also, I'm pretty stoked to finally be a legitimate member of allnurses and the nursing community as a whole! Can't wait to get started and crazy excited for the next three years! Although I knew I was a competitive applicant, I worked myself like a maniac for a year taking pre-req's and basically made the TEAS study guide my bible for 2 weeks. This is what is took to get in...
TEAS: 94.7
English: A
Math: HS credit (no grade)
Psych: A
Medical Micro: A
A&P 1: A
Overall GPA: 3.9
Hard to beat I guess...
Congratulations Kaptainkale! I'll say, those are some impressive numbers! I'm really hoping for Farmingdale since I am in the same boat as you. It's only about 25-30 minutes from home and a degree from Farmingdale will cost about the same as a year at LIU or Adelphi, lol. Have you heard anything back yet, KimMansfield?
I actually just got off the phone with an admissions counselor. I was told decisions go out on Monday!

Hey everyone! My application status also changed on OASIS this morning! Just keep checking. I thought I would be on the bubble of not getting in because I have about a 3.4 GPA and 84(93rd percentile) on the TEAS. I'm excited to see what's next!
Looks like another weekend of wondering, Kim, lol. Urbac008, what did your status change to? Mine still says "Decision Made" and "Waitlisted" right underneath it.
Mine changed from "decision made" and "wait listed" to "decision made" and "acceptance- prior conditions"
Hopefully it is a step in the right direction for you! Did you give admissions a call to see if they could explain what "prior conditions" refers to? Mine still says waitlisted... I need to stop checking, lol.
Mine changed from, "waitlisted" to "accpetance-prior conditions" on friday night...I'm thinking this just means that if you have any outstanding pre-req's you are taking this semester, you have to pass them in order for them to maintain your acceptance for the start of next sem. Just dont fail anything this semester lol.

Hello you guys! I just figured out I was accepted to Farmingdale '17 Nursing School as well!!! Mine also says "Acceptance-Prior Conditions", which I think is me having to complete Statistics. My overall GPA is a 3.8 at the moment. So relieved and excited, since this school is way cheaper and close to home for me!!! Can't wait to meet everyone and to finally declare myself a "Nursing Student"! Good luck to everyone still waiting for a response! :)

Hey everyone!! I'm so glad that this was started for Farmigdale's Spring 2017 nursing program. I noticed a change on my OASIS and it says "Acceptance- Prior Conditions" so I called admissions and they said I was accepted! I'm currently taking classes at another school, so the lady told me that the "prior conditions" meant that they just want another official transcript with the final grades of the classes I am currently taking. She also said they are mailing out notices today (Monday, 11/21) with information on registration and orientation. I'm super excited! These were my stats:
TEAS: 84
Math: A
A&P 1 and 2: Both As
Overall GPA: 4.0
I am super excited to meet everyone at orientation! 😊
