Hi everyone, 

I haven't seen any thread for the SUNY Downstate ABSN program for the Fall 2024 start so I thought so here's one for anyone applying/attending/etc!

 

Hi there! For those who got accepted, how long did it take them to reach out to you after your interview? I had my interview yesterday evening and haven't heard back yet and I'm just starting to worry ? The dean mentioned it would take max 7 days to hear back, but if anyone remembers how long it took them to hear back please lmk. Definitely nerve wrecking waiting

I remember interviewing in the morning and then receiving a reply the next morning. I wouldn't worry too much; I know someone who got in after two days of interviewing.

Thank you! I appreciate the info. I had mine in the late evening so hopefully it's just taking a little extra time to hear back, fingers crossed.

Hey guys, where do you see if you got accepted? Is it an email or somewhere on the application portal?

You will get an email saying that you got accepted. You will then accept or decline your decision on the application portal.

I just got my acceptance email!

I first submitted my incomplete app on 1/26, and it was accepted by the program on 2/1. I got called for an interview on 2/16, had my interview on 2/21, and was emailed with my decision this morning (2/22).

I also got my acceptance email today as well! 

Submitted application on 1/31

Accepted by Program on 2/1

Called for interview on 2/20

Interview on 2/21 

Emailed this morning as well for acceptance 2/22

I look forward to meeting you guys and wish the best of luck for those who are still waiting!

Hi everyone, just got my acceptance via email as well. For reference, I submitted my app on 2/14. It was under program review by the end of the night and I was offered an interview on 2/16. Interview was conducted on 2/20 and the acceptance came today 2/22. 

Good luck to all those who are applying or waiting to hear back. Can't wait to meet you all and for what the future holds at Downstate !

Does anyone know the deadline for completing a pre-requisite? I got admitted but I still have to complete a class and was wondering if I could do it in the Summer semester before the program starts. Thanks

As long as you are able to get a grade and submit the official transcript before the semester starts. So if you're going go take a Summer class, I think as long as you can get a grade before August then you're fine.

Hey guys! Did anyone have any issues with downstate accepting their sociology/anthropology courses? I've completed my pre reqs at a CUNY and it seems like they aren't accepting the courses for sociology/anthropology requirement

Yes!! I am having the same exact issue. I've submitted several different courses and they told me they all don't meet the requirement. I just don't get it... What would be considered anthropology/sociology? If anyone has any ideas

Also does anyone know where to submit the deposit fee? On the application website it doesn't have an option to put your credit card info, it just says "This page is incomplete"
