Hi everyone,

I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2021. Being that the application period just opened, I’m sure we can all benefit from sharing information in regards to the process.

I would say just relax and be yourself. The questions are not designed to trick you or scare you. It's very basic stuff...I think it's just to get a sense of your personality.

Definitely do some practice before your interview. They're your typical interview questions: "3 adjectives to describe yourself" "Think of a time you experienced failure and how you addressed it " The director is super nice! Sing a lot of praise about the school and the program as well! 

Really, just be honest and true to yourself, I'm sure your passion will shine through

Definitely look up some nursing school interview questions just to prepare yourself in advance! My suggestion would just use lots of examples when answering the questions and relate that to nursing! Good luck!

I've only seen one person in this forum that received a rejection post interview ?

They randomly emailed me for an interview today and I only had an hour to prepare and I’m scared I’m gonna get a rejection email soon.

I interviewed this week, and still no word either way! On pins and needles!

I interviewed on Wednesday. It was a group interview. I thought I did well but I’m so nervous. I still have two outstanding prerequisites that I’m completing this Summer, Microbiology and statistics. I’m not sure if that will effect the timing on my reply.
