SUNY Downstate Accelerated BSN Program 2014-2015

Hey Everyone!

I figured I should start a new thread for the upcoming round of decisions. How are you all feeling? What are your backgrounds? Have you applied to other schools? My application is in the review progress, so my fingers are crossed and hopes are high!

Hi everyone,

I applied on the 11th, and got an email on the first week of February saying it was up for initial review, but it was dated 1/23 (delay?).

Anywho, i've been on faculty screener 7 now for a month. Anyone in the same boat? Im a Brooklyn College student who "should" be accepted because of their agreement with downstate but the college pre health advisor and Downstate admissions are not easy to deal with so all in all im still anxious. Does anyone know how long it takes to go from faculty screener to review completed?

I sent additional documents to the general email address for admission and I always get that same response from someone or something that all documents have been completed etc etc.... So I experimented and tried to email someone directly and received a more genuine response... ;-) I just thought I'd share that with all of you. Pls excuse if I don't post the email address as it is against the policy of this forum.

@cf415 I noticed you were done being reviewed by the committee already. I just noticed mine is done as well. Did they contact you for any additional info or paperwork after that?

So I just noticed that my application status has moved from faculty screener 7 to review completed. I know a lot of you have the same thing, so excuse my redundant post, but I'm just SO antsy to hear back from them. Has anyone who has the status of faculty review completed heard anything? Good luck All!

I GOT IN!!!!!! They sent me an e-mail an hour ago confirming that I've been accepted! I'm freaking out I'm sooooo excitedddd!!!!!!

Congratulations!

I didn't hear anything so I just gave them a call and they said that letters are generated at different times. So if you haven't heard anything yet, don't fear. They're still sending stuff out.

Congrats guys... did your checklists change too or did you just receive emails?.... still impatiently waiting and hopefully I'll see you guys in June
