Haven't seen any forums yet on the SUNY Downstate ABSN 2017-2018 class. Has anyone applied?? Or heard from them already?

@EH_NY Omg! That's awesome! My status changed on Friday to "Forwarded to admissions committee" (which to me is basically the same thing as before so we'll see). Let me know if you hear anything! Fingers crossed :)

@MellyLelly I just checked my status and it now says "forwarded to admissions committee for review". Not sure how long it's going to take, but I want to hear back already! Hopefully soon

@Tammy333 I applied on the 30th of November as well. What's the status of your app?

Just wondering, did anyone(who was accepted) have volunteer hours? I'm wondering if that weighs in at all on the decisions. Still waiting on my decision. TIA !

@jalba: I have CNA experiencr for almost half a year now. Not sure if that helped for my acceptance.

Jalba8190 no volunteering for me. No time. I currently work in social services which is not healthcare but its a complimentary field to nursing I think. I did CNA training a long time ago in HS but no paid experience though.

Hey everyone! Made the last minute decision to apply. Spoke to admissions and they said they are still accepting applications (thankfully). Now I'm just waiting for my letters of rec to be submitted. Congrats to those of you who have already been accepted! I'm crossing my fingers for myself. I volunteer at Sloan Kettering and I just finished a CNA program.

Hey guys, i submitted everything apart from my final prereq grade( Fall 16 Microbio) on October 29th and still haven't heard back. Anyone submit their application around the same time and received a decision yet? Anxious to finally hear back!
