Stars glad he has an appointment there even if the place is dubious, always good to have a plan B

NJ22 glad your ds got a job.  Hope your sister can get her tests scheduled

Tweety patients like that do make things very hard, have a demanding patient currently that can take a fair amount of time

Ado hope the tooth pain goes away.  Sailing class sounds interesting

Fairly busy day yesterday.  After getting coffee baked oatmeal raisin cookies and did some laundry.   Had lunch with dad, ran an errand or two, exercised,  and then watched Svengoolie

Considered taking the train to Milwaukee for the day the last Friday this month,  which I already have off.  But then realized it was supposed to be a day to rest, and a day trip would be a bit tricky and not at all  restful

Today will be the usual, have adult education and church and coffee hour.  Am assisting this Sunday too.   Will stop at the grocery store and cook once I get home, making  soup

I'm pretty much able to get through the entire yoga routine from the book in the mornings,  takes about 10 minutes or so.  Have also been reflecting upon my current position, might make a lateral change once the opportunity arises.  Odd, that I had to remind myself that I don't need to commit to this job long term

Will be warmer today, up to 40, no snow expected

Another day when I slept quite late. When I got up I did another trip to the grocery store.?  Got lots of frozen meals that are acceptable to hubby and Nannie; I am tired of going out and getting suppers at the fast food places.

Speaking of food, the birds and squirrels have been going at it out on the patio snuffling up what they can find, and I guess I better go out and sweep off the patio and pour out some more fresh seeds. It's a mess, but I like watching the critters. Where we used to have bird-feeders hanging has been torn up by wind, weather, plus raccoons/squirrels which would pull the feeders down and drag them half-way down into the woods.

Hubby c/o 'feeling sick all day long"....but he didn't specify how. I do know that last night before bedtime he had had more booze than usual, because he was grappling with the stairs. Probably why he doesn't feel so well today. And when I mentioned supper, he said he doesn't want anything to eat. Easy-Peasy! I can do 'nothing'!

Nannie is sleeping in her recliner with her mouth wide open. That's the way we like her....quiet! ?

For some reason, after MONTHS of the local newspapers not being available on the racks at the stores....I did manage to get a Sunday paper today! Mostly for the puzzles, really.

Nothing else to add right now........

Another gray day, sigh. At least it wasn't frosty this morning. Sis was going to join us for breakfast at the diner, but she overslept. Dh went off to pick up groceries and look for some new jeans, dog food, and I don't remember what else. I went for a run, worked on a jigsaw puzzle and started watching a new series on Hulu. Youngest ds just brought me his new pants to hem up. We are plagued with short leg syndrome, LOL. I did a little yard clean up, but my hands got cold. I am hoping dh picked up something to make for dinner, but he often comes home with ice cream, cookies, and chips.

I started doing some new exercises from a video series I found, and am actually sore. Mainly knees. I hope this will help with running endurance. I've just never got it back after having COVID last year. Or maybe I'm just getting old.

I should study my homework. I need to do another quiz, on plant ID, I think. Again, it's mostly terminology, like the shape of leaves: lancinate, palmate, etc. I may need to draw some more.

Hubby decided to go to bed, said to let him sleep, but he couldn't fall asleep. I don't know if he is going to come downstairs soon or not. Nannie is still in her recliner,  deeply, deeply asleep. I did get her to open her eyes, briefly, twice, but she didn't look at me, and never answered any of the (loud) questions I asked her: Can you wake up? Are you hungry? Do you hear me? {Noooo nuthin' in response.}

Well, heck-fire, *I'M* hungry! I have nuked a leftover fish sandwich and it is just dandy.

Hubby has finally arrived in the den, put on his 02 nasal cannula. We're watching the network news, about "The" Chinese Balloon. I'm just sorry I didn't get to go outside and moon it.

G'day!

Joe, always admire your self-awareness.

J22, good to hear about your son getting a job.

Stars, sorry about the continued rehab woes.

Most. Annoying. Patient. left around 9pm after giving the nurse a very hard time about her various ailments.

I couldn't find my phone while I was at work.  I often leave it in the bathroom and it was nowhere to be found, no one turned it into security.  I walked back to my car and it wasn't there. I used "find my phone" on the T-Mobile page to see if I left it at home and it said it was at the hospital.  It allowed me to call it and it would ring even though I have the ringer off and lo and behold it was underneath my lunch back on a counter behind the nurses station.  DOH.

Work was better without here.  Started with 6:1 and discharged three and got no admissions.  I was sure I'd get slammed with admissions.

Have a great evening.

Got Nannie to wake up at 7:30 PM, made her eat some yogurt, took her in to the bathroom, changed her into pj bottoms. She said, "I'm so sleepy,"  and was very happy to be tucked into bed. NICE!

Hubby's belly is still bothering him. I couldn't find the cap for the hot-water bottle; I was hoping some warmth would ease it a little. Oh well. I want him to see a doc about every symptom he has, but that'd be useless. More than half of his physical problems are likely to do with the drinking. (By the way, Joe, he DOESN'T have an appointment; I was just thinking about us going over to that detox place closer to home, to see what helpful out-patient stuff they can offer him.)

Hello all!

55 degrees today, and though we had some sprinkles in the morning, the afternoon had only fluffy clouds and sunshine.  I did a run to the grocery store, and then we ate a quick lunch prior to a nice zoom chat with the ds's.

Then we tuned into The Chosen, Season 3, Episode 7 (which became available for viewing at 4pm PST).  Still processing this episode, need to see it again.

Then I made a Spicy and Sweet Carrot Soup.  Found the recipe on FB.  It turned out different (which I expected), but nice!  Dh liked it too!  It's a little more labor-intensive than my other soup recipes, but turned out good.

Not much else planned for tonight.  Tomorrow I will call about attending the Susanville Bluegrass Festival, which is the weekend after Father's Day Festival.  We will already be in Grass Valley for the Father's Day Festival, and Susanville is just a bit more down the road.

Have a good evening!

Dull day here but at least a pleasant 60 degrees or so. Made "fancy" grilled cheese sandwiches from e-meals. They were supposed to have Everything Bagel seasoning but either I forgot to actually buy it or I put it away in such a special place that I can't find it. ?. Also had sweet potato fries (from frozen).

This evening no one was really hungry so just had some popcorn. Twin A actually got to work today. The recent cold weather has meant reduced hours and staff at the zoo.
