I got a job!

That’s awesome. What unit? I just found out I have an interview with the critical care and would love any advice!

@minniemoo22 oh no!! Sorry to hear that. It was a crazy process that’s for sure. If you don’t mind me asking did you interview for labor and delivery or mother baby?

Labor and delivery. Apparently only five ppl interviewed for mother baby. The thing is the manager was really nice. She said I had a very positive and upbeat personality and that she looked forward to speaking with me again soon. So I’m just all sorts of confused!

Atlanta on 3S, the cardiac step-down unit. So excited!

Have anyone heard from Mother-Baby from Emory and Northside? Or Women’s Services from Piedmont or Wellstar?

Specializes in Mother Baby.

I received a verbal job offer on L&D from Northside this past friday!! I sign my contract monday morning - for the people that haven't heard back, Alanna (recruiter) told me that I have a short turn around time to respond because there is a huge waitlist of people behind me if I don't accept. Anyone know how many positions Northside is filling for this cohort?

Yay! So exciting & congratulations. I emailed her seeing what I can do to improve on my interview skills. Do you have a ADN or BSN degree?

& I believe they said 25 ppl!

Specializes in Mother Baby.

I have a BSN! Honestly, the night before I binge-watched a bunch of interview videos and here are the two I loved & honestly think are the reason I have a job offer with no prior formal L&D experience (I worked in an OR in GYN and OB care as an extern and was an intern on a mother-baby floor) ...

(I asked this question at the end of the interview and my interviewer was so dang impressed haha)

And at the end of my "tell me about yourself" my interviewer said she had no other questions for me because she liked my answer so much haha.

I hope this helps!!

Awesome! Thank you so much. I’m only ADN but I start my RN -BSN 15 days after graduation. I have not had my practicum yet and only have med surg with a touch of OB experience. I don’t want to take away from anything you’ve accomplished or dim your glory in anyway so I’ll just end with this... congratulations and I wish you all the best on your future endeavors!! I’m sure you’ll be an excellent nurse ❤️
