What location?

@minniemoo22 I did! It all happened really fast. and @601pink15, so far I'm only looking at Piedmont Atlanta. I basically have all of my eggs in one basket (ha). That may change depending on how this interview goes! Good luck everyone!

Just out of curiosity, how long are you all willing to commute to work in your top unit?

Are all of y’all new graduates or have you worked at a hospital previously??

@jansenrenee22 New grad, but I have experience in a hospital through a nurse externship working as a tech and with a nurse

I graduate May 1st. I would be willing to have a hour commute max for my top unit!

I’m graduating in May. Willing to drive about 35 min max.

Specializes in Medical ICU.

I graduate in May as well. I have prior hospital experience through an externship at Kennestone and also working as patient care tech now + 2 years prior to starting nursing school.

I had my phone screening this morning and should be scheduling an interview in the next 1-2 weeks depending on manager response times.

I would be willing to commute 1 hour. Piedmont Atlanta is 40 minutes from me but with traffic it will be about 1 hour or more.

I’m the same way about the commute. Willing to drive an hour. The problem is I looked at a few hospitals farther from me and they’d turn into 1.5 hour commute after a night shift ?

just trying to see if anyone thinks that’s doable

& I’m sure that’s on a traffic free day. I would definitely say under a hour max. Those long hours and a drive longer than a hour would be a risk I’m not willing to take. I currently drive a hour and 45 minutes to school and it takes a toll on your body for sure.
