Summer 3 Mayo clinic nurse externship 2017

Hey guys! I know that we're still a few months from the application opening, but I'm so excited I can't wait!

I'd love to hear from any of the previous years' externs and anyone planning on applying this summer.

Anybody checking their application status almost every day? lol :)

Mine has said application in review since a few days after I submitted! I think that everyone's says that until they start reviewing. From past posts, it seems like it changes to "interview" if you are being further considered. Hopefully we'll start hearing something soon!

Mine still says application in review as of today. LPNJamie7, I believe you're right! Past applicants have said their status changed to "interview" if they made it to the second round of consideration. Fingers crossed for a change soon! :)

Mine still says application in review. Has any one contacted them to see when they send out offer letters? Also I feel like not as many applied this year, based on the amount of people on this feed!!

I know the anxious excitement everyone is feeling as I was in your shoes this time last year! The timeline for our application process last year was Jan. 15th was the deadline for submission, on Jan. 27th the top 100 people received emails requesting further information (transcripts and interest inventory for units), and final decisions were sent out February 15th. The summer III experience was beyond amazing and I hope you guys all get to experience it! You will make lifelong friends and get some really great hands on nursing experience in such a wonderful, compassionate environment! Good luck to everyone!
