Hi everyone! I was hoping we could all put together where we are applying, which programs, and maybe some stats of ours like GPA, GRE, where we went for undergrad, and any relevant experience. This way we can all keep each other updated on admissions statuses!
I applied to UT-Arlington's Post MSN-Certificate AC-PNP program for Spring 2014 and got deferred to the following semester, Fall 2014. Dean said she would love for me to be part of their program but they literally get full quick and Post MSN Cert students are considered into the program based on "space availability"
My MSN (Nursing Admin) GPA was 3.9, BSN GPA 3.7. Didn't take a GRE prior to my MSN because my GPA was within their range for acceptance and I don't need it because I already have my MSN to enter into a Post MSN Cert program.
I also will apply at TWU Post MSN PNP Progam for Fall 2014. I've been an RN since May 2006, worked in the acute care setting my whole nursing career. PICU, Ped's Flr and I also work in Ped's Nephrology and Coordinate Peds Renal Transplants. I just want to start already!!! Well, good luck to us all!
Hi Everyone! I applied for the UMKC NNP program for Fall 2014. Didn't take the GRE and my GPA was 3.4. I've been a NICU nurse for 14 years, have my Bachelor's and am a NRP/STABLE instructor. Just heard today they look at the apps at the end of January and will email responses the first week of March.
I am set to start Walden in March. I am rethinking that and have applied at UA and USI. I have also considered South, as I live near the Ga campus.
4.0 GPA, haven't taken the GRE which is the ONLY reason I am not attending my local brick and mortar NP program. I was given 2 weeks notice that I needed to take. I was afraid that rushing to take it without proper prep would hurt my score and ruin my chance to get in.
I applied to La Salle University and Villanova University in 12/2013. I got into La Salle and am taking a class this semester. I went to La Salle for undergrad and graduated with a 3.56. I really want to go to Villanova, they finally have everything they need from me so now I am just waiting to see if I can attend Summer 2014 for their NP program. No GRE's because they were waived due to GPA > 3.2.
I have been an surgical trauma ICU nurse for 6 years and I am applying to UTA and Texas A & M Corpus Christi graduate program. I currently have a GPA of 3.8. I received my BSN from Texas tech university and graduated with honors. Does anyone know anything about Texas A & M family nurse practitioners program. Any information would much appreciated.

icubel, have you heard back from UTA? Deadline for Fall 2014 was June 15 and I am patiently waiting for response for PMHNP program.
