How many of you have applied for the 2013 Accelerated BSN/MSN program at JHU SON? I applied early decision and completed my phone interview on the 26th. They said they will start making decisions calls around the December 15th which is a Saturday so I'm sure we won't hear anything until the 17th or later.
Is anyone else as anxious as I am to hear back from them? I even made a vision board on my fridge that reads: I WILL GET ACCEPTED INTO THE JOHNS HOPKINS BSN/MSN PROGRAM STARTING SUMMER 2013. Positive thoughts work, right?
FYI: I also applied to Columbia, Ohio State, and UCLA.
Yeah, that's what I thought too. I was surprised when they mentioned that in the financial aid email so I asked. I'm still hoping we receive a phone call bc that would mean less waiting, but I'm mentally prepared to wait through the first week of March. Hopefully we wont have to.
Sooo I called admissions the other day to ask when we would hear back and they said the first week of March. I'm not sure if that means by March 1st or after that.
Also, I asked about how we would be informed of the decision. All of the applicants received an email for the priority financial aid deadline and in it they said they would be "mailing decisions later this spring." I was surprised bc in the past applicants were notified by phone. But I asked admissions and they said that we would be notified through a mailed letter. Mail takes a while so we may know even after March 1st!

If there was a dislike button, I would. It would be such a bummer if it came after March 1st! I've been banking that we would receive it before March 1st. I received that email about financial aid - I just assumed they would call us about acceptance and letters would be mailed.
I was an early decision BSN/MSN applicant and I received my BSN decision by phone and my MSN decision by email. So I think it could very well be a combo of all the options depending on your specialty perhaps.
I can't wait for you all to hear back and see who will be going to Hopkins!
I am excited, salinn! And yes, I believe that it will probably still be by phone call... dee73, did you just talk to the person who answers the phone in admissions? I called the person who interviewed me directly, along with talking with someone in charge of monitoring applications.
ljm9304, i'm also waiting for fall admission decisions. i received an e-mail early last week saying they needed updated transcripts before making a decision. i'm pretty sure the discussion in posts above is regarding fall 2013 admissions.

So I called them and got scheduled to phone interview next week. But, isn't it too late to interview??? Coz decisions are supposed to be out March 1st right? Also, for people who have been interviewed, what should I expect on the phone interview? Thank you!

It is not too late to interview!!! They have plenty of interviews scheduled over the next few weeks. They have been working non stop to get everyone processed before March 1. For the interview you can expect them to ask you why nursing, why FNP etc. Do not stress all the admissions counselors are awesome, although I may be bias because I work there as a work study student :)
