Hey,
I just wanted to create a thread so we can share where we are applying and if/when we hear anything back. I applied to WellStar with my first choice being the ATL campus and ED. I plan to apply to Grady and Piedmont when their application opens in the next few months. Any one else start applying?

I have yet to hear of any overlapping interviews for the same position. @BabyNurse24 When you interviewed with northside, did they say if multiple people interviewed for the same position or how many new grads they were accepting per department? I just wondered what to expect. I did hear one girl say she got offered the day she interviewed.
I haven’t seen any overlapping either but I think that’s just a coincidence because she let me choose the department and location and said if I wanted to interview with more than one location and more than one unit I was available to. The only unit she said was too full was anything womens center at every location. All the rest she said I was open to interview for.

I do know that one person interviewed right after me and we both go an offer. I believe they hired/are hiring 25 new grads for Mother Baby (I THINK) . I heard back the same day as well! Im not too sure about L&D. Im hoping you get the offer that you're waiting for ?

Good point. I was told the same. I just wondered how many spots were available and if most got back with an offer as quickly as that one girl heard back. She had 48 hours to decide (which sucks for anyone waiting on CHOA)

25 per hospital or overall cause that seems like a lot LOL. ED for example.. I see multiple people with interviews but all different locations and the interview email says to wait to ensure you do not overlap interviews so I wondered if that was for the same positionn or what and how many they take. Do you mind sharing what the pay is like for northside residency?

I’m assuming they will likely be pretty quick with offers and also that we will be given 48 hours. I was given 48 hours for an offer from Emory but ultimately had to turn it down because of this northside interview. They were willing to work with me some on it and gave me two extra days. And I’m not keeping my hopes up about CHOA because everyone that I’ve seen got an offer applied supppper early. Like early December and I didn’t apply until Jan. And they had accepted the job before I even did hireview.

gotcha. I know tons of people did hirevue with choa and they can be really slow. So I've sort of settled happily on northside and I am hoping it goes well. Do you go on Thursday?

Same here. There’s another thread talking all about the CHOA may residency if you want to check that out. But I basically came to the conclusion either you had to know someone, work there or apply super early. I highly doubt ill get a call just since I applied later and didn’t have an in. My interview with northside is Friday. What department/location are you interviewing for and when?

I am doing cardiac at Cherokee Thursday. I just wondered if they interviewed everyone for that one department together on the same day or what. I have no clue LOL. The email for the interview was from a recruiter so its harder to say. I cant imagine the head of each department and their team have time to sit there all day long interviewing though LOL.

Oh yeah true I see what you mean, but to be honest I bet that is what they do. I know that’s what they did for Emory! I had a late interview for Emory like 4pm with the director of the unit and she made a comment about how they were on their like 10th interview of the day and she was apologizing she had to write everything to remember exactly what I was saying. So def make yourself stand out! I’m assuming northside is the same!
