Summer 2021 ATL Nurse Residency Programs

Hey, 

I just wanted to create a thread so we can share where we are applying and if/when we hear anything back. I applied to WellStar with my first choice being the ATL campus and ED. I plan to apply to Grady and Piedmont when their application opens in the next few months. Any one else start applying?

So my interview is for ED /: Emory said they’d call me tomorrow or the next day! And still no word from CHOA but apparently they take a long time

@Nurseasof2021 Which hospital are you interviewing at for Northside? I wanted NICU and they also said it was full.. So I am also interviewing ED haha

Yep we’re in the exact same boat haha. I’m interviewing for northside Forsyth!

Mine is at Cherokee! They basically said, "Anything but childrens" haha. Mine is more mid march with the department head Im pretty sure so I would assume we would get an answer back quickly. I just wonder how long Northside gives you to accept if you do get an offer.

I interviewed with Northside Cherokee last week and they gave me 48 hours to accept an offer! They called me two hours after the interview, so make sure to keep your phone near you after yours!

@brooks5 Wow they are not messing around are they? haha that is good to hear back quickly. Do you mind if I ask if you accepted and what position? They are not doing my interview until next week, but I feel that is typical.

I know I was shocked, but it was really great that they let you know so quick - no overthinking your answers or a super long wait! And yes - I accepted an offer on the cardiac floor and am so excited! ? Everyone was super nice too!

That is awesome. I have one other hospital I am interested in but they tend to be really slow with their process and I am not sure if I have that time to wait with Cherokee wanting the fast response. Cherokee is awesome though and I hope we have a chance to work together in the near future!

Question for everyone! Who all has gotten jobs and what hospitals/units have they been on? Or people that you know of? Just curious as to where has started giving offers!

I got an offer at Emory. Emory has started giving offers as well as Northeast GA, and some Northside locations.

Has anyone interviewed with northside or have an interview scheduled for northside? If so when is it scheduled for? They scheduled mine for mid March and it’s so far out. I’m wondering if this is standard because I just saw other people have already received an offer from them!

@Nurseasof2021 Mine is next week (Is that mid march?) LOL. Which location and department are you interviewing in??
