Hi I'm applying to Suffolk's nursing program for Fall 2019. Just giving room for everyone to chat as we get closer to the deadline ( Jan 15 ) , can anyone offer any information in term of points for acceptance, available seating and difficulty of the program ?
Called grant today to find out about priority registration, didn’t want to register while still waiting for letter. Asked if I had gotten in.
They called me back a few hours later with the good news that I got into Grants Day program!!! Ugh what a weight off my chest lol. I was beginning to worry.
She said my letter is in the mail, so keep an eye out!!!

Congrats! called them last Friday but they said the person in charge wasn't there. Do you have the number and the contact person to talk to?

I’m 28..what about everyone else? (If you don’t mind)
I know there’s a ton of diversity regarding age in nursing programs!
Oh jeez, I'm 31. Haha, but I've been a surgical technologist for 6 years.

apart from the expsense sheet given in the packet, Suffolk charges $218 a credit. Nursing 101 + 100 are 8.5 credits so thats about $1900
On the rubric I saw it's NUR 102 And NUR 116 for the first semester. Also from what I read in my packet (which did not include a rubric, I got that information from the Day Program website), it said that priority registration starts as early as tomorrow but you can't register for Nursing specific courses until after orientation which is May 3rd... ? Anyone know if this is accurate information?

Okay so I did an estimate of this but you would minus a little bit because I’m including micro remaining for me (only non-nursing course)
I got about $13,300 for the 2 years. This includes everything. Tuition, all those misc. fees they charge per semester and per credit, books & the extra expenses they estimate. You really have to add in the fees that they charge like student activity, vehicle registration, accident insurance, for our clinical..it adds up.

@kfab7 is correct. I went to the health office to ask. That’s for general college admission and allows you to register for classes. If you aren’t already a Suffolk student you need to do that though. I’m already a student though so they looked me up in the computer and said I was good. You could probably just call the health office and they can do the same for you. They will give us everything specific to nursing at orientation.
