Suffolk County Community College Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi I'm applying to Suffolk's nursing program for Fall 2019. Just giving room for everyone to chat as we get closer to the deadline ( Jan 15 ) , can anyone offer any information in term of points for acceptance, available seating and difficulty of the program ?

My experience in applying wasn't good. they weren't able to process my application last Spring because of the mistake I made online. so they asked me to apply again this fall and take the teas again since it's another term. but when I took it I got a lower score from 78 to 76. now I no longer have that additional 20 points for the rubric score. so I hope they will reconsider my application. which I doubt. I have been waiting for years to get accepted and enrolled in ap1 and ap2. but with my score I don't think they will accept me.

@angelahurtle Hi Angela! This is a silly question but what kind of shoes did you get for clinicals?? I went to Flynn O'hara for them but the rep advised me to get the shoes somewhere else

@kvivas You can get shoes anywhere as long as they are white. They should be comfortable for being on your feet for 5 hours. I bought mine at walmart and kmart. They should not be canvas and you should be able to run in them in case of an emergency. So with that said, they should not be anything a syringe can penetrate. They can be cheap sneakers or Nikes, Reebok, Avia, Brooks, doesn't matter as long as they are white (no weird orange or blue striping). I would stay away from clog type also because if you have to run you might lose them or twist an ankle.

Not sure if anyone posted this here yet but we have a Facebook group going for anyone who has been accepted to 2021 Grant Day program, here the link!!
