Suffolk County Community College 2017 Applicants

Can you just give the school your name and ask them if you got in or not? I got a 75.6 and had all pre reqs except micro and ap2 and didn't get in. I've stalked all these forums and talked it a lot of people and I'm almost positive no one got in without an advanced score. It stinks to be so close, missed it by two points as well. But good luck and keep trying!!

They said there is no other way to find out if you got in but to wait for the letter. It's crazy bc last year there seemed to be many people that got in without an advanced score. This year it seems lots of advanced scores, however there have to be way more applicants than people posting here but if you didn't get in and our only difference is me having ap2 it doesn't look good for me.

My my only hope at this point is that I've been waitlisted but I doubt it. Guess I'll be taking micro this year and studying like crazy for the TEAS.

I know I feel you. I was very disappointed not getting the advanced but had the tiniest bit of hope I'd still make it since I was so close to it. I plan on retaking the teas and taking micro too. Contemplated applying for the night program in the spring but it would still take 6 months longer if I just wait for next fall - gonna work my ass studying for the teas and hopefully get an advanced score next go around.

Have you called? I'm actually scared now that they haven't even seen my application. No reason mail should have gone to some people on Thursday of last week and 5 mail days later still not be to us

I just called Suffolk they put me on hold for a while and came back and said they did have everything for my application and that it was still being reviewed and a letter should go out shortly. She wouldn't tell me more then that. So now does that mean maybe wait listed ?? Or is that just what they tell everyone who is being denied to soften the blow? This is driving me crazy !!!

What!? How bizzare. Yet when I have called (I never gave my name yet to have them look me up) I was told ALL letters have been sent out! I'm so confused. How could it still be being reviewed!? What was your teas again? Which campus did you call? Denial letters were being received since Thursday too the only letter I haven't seen anyone post about is wait list letters but I'm really expecting a denial. I am clueless.

I called central admissions bc no one at ammerman knows how to answer a phone apparently lol. I told him I applied for the LPN and RN program and I got my denial for LPN so why haven't I heard for the RN and she took my info and came back on the phone and said there still reviewing it. I got a 69.7 on the TEAS and NO pre reqs (just psychology and English) my degree is in hospitality management so none of my credits really matter and I have no sciences. Which is why I'm assuming I would be denied. The women at the river head campus said I had a good chance at the LPN program much then the RN which is why I applied to both. I just want to know already. I've seen people on here with much better scores and pre reqs get denied so why haven't I heard yet? Just frustrating. It's like just rip the bandaid off already!!! Either way I'm still going to keep trying and I'm starting classes in the summer to help. I'll get there eventually but I am getting so impatient

I did not score advanced on my READ, but I did get in. So there is still hope if you did not score advanced!

It's all in this thread, but I scored a 78 on the TEAS, I have all my prereqs completed with almost all A's and I have a bachelor's and master's degree. I received my acceptance letter this past Friday.

Oh so you did get the bonus points for scoring 78 which is advanced no?

thats all amazing! Good for you! I have a bachelors too but I don't know if they'll take that into consideration. I am missing micro as well. I guess time will tell. Sorry I did just find where you listed everything in this thread! Thanks again
