Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Starting the thread for those anxious applicants trying to get a read on this year's pool of candidates...

So who is willing to post what they've scored?

Here's mine:

A&P 1: A

A&P 2: B+

Eng 1: A

Eng 2: B+

Micro: ___

Psych: A

Stats: C- (blah!)

TEAS: 78

Not particularly found of the revision to the rubric.

So what are you holding???

I applied for the RN and LPN program as my TEAS test wasn't very strong...69%

never took a&p, but I have a bachelors degree in hospitality. Thankfully they changed the rubric so a&p isn't a requirement to get in, but boy would that of helped on the TEAS test!! The science portion is what really brought down my grade :( which is why I opted to try for the LPN program and then eventually do the bridge program to RN

called suffolk yesterday morning they said they were in the process of sending out letters and should be on the lookout in the next 1-2 weeks!

Do you know if it's just the Lpn acceptance letters going out this week or RN as well??

I'm assuming both, I just asked about the nursing program, I didn't specify since I applied for both. So I would think it should be soon!

Just wanted to share this update. I called the eastern campus to find out about the acceptance / denial letters for the LPN a program because it starts before the RN program so wasn't sure if they were sent together or separate, the women read me an email she had received that stated the LPN program deposits are due march 15th. She said the letters are usually sent around the same time for both programs and that there are 8 People waitlisted for the LPN program so if I get into the RN program then to make sure I tell them I do not want the LPN program so they can move it to someone who is waitlisted. So I think for both LPN and RN programs we should be hearing very very soon. Hope this helps!

Do you know if financial aid can be applied for program? And how much the deposit and or full cost would be? BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE!!

Does anyone know what the 'Academic Preparedness' score on the rubric is referring to? I had assumed if you currently hold a higher degree you would fall under the Exemplary category but I am not positive.

The academic preparedness category is only based on your TEAS score. Above 78 is exemplary.

Thanks! Are extra points granted if an applicant already holds a Bachelor's?

You're welcome! Nope, the rubric is only based off the teas and the few pre reqs

Oops I meant above 78 is advanced...exemplary is in the 90s I believe

Hey guys, I received my acceptance letter today for the RN day at Grant. Deposit is due March 15. Adding that the deposit is $100. Good luck to those still waiting to hear!

I just got my denial letter.. I kinda knew it was coming, but I'm still bummed. Now debating if i should apply in august for the evening program or if I should just wait to apply for fall 18. Anybody know what the class schedule/clinical schedule is like for the evening program? That's a major deciding factor for me.
