Suffolk Community College Fall 2018

Published

Hi,

anyone out there applying for the fall 2018 program at Suffolk?

Did anyone mail their deposit for Grant? I mailed mine and they haven't cashed it so I guess they haven't received it. I just want to make sure if anyone else mailed it if they had gotten it yet

How soon did they update your SAIN? I paid this morning and its still not updated.

I paid yesterday morning around 9:30 and I checked this morning and it was updated so check in the morning

I paid yesterday about 2pm in Selden and updated this morning. Check after 5pm and if nothing then definitely by tomorrow AM.

Do you need to take bio ethics or it can be fulfilled with another humanities course? Also, I wonder when the first orientation will be I'm so excited

Bio ethics can be fulfilled with another course! My music class i took actually fulfilled it for me lol

Idk about you guys, but by fall I'll be done with all non-nursing courses. So yeah... I think you can definetly take a summer history course.

same here, im taking microbiology now and thats the last non nursing course i need. its so exciting to look at my SAIN report and just see nursing classes needed :)

Yeah... its nice but idk what to do with my financial aid since I won't be a full time student anymore. í ½í²¸í ½í¸•

I mailed my tuition deposit for grant on Tuesday morning, and my SAIN has not updated still. I assume it will be done next week.

I'm wondering the same. Do you have any ice of the cost?

Yeah, well that depends on how many credits you have left to do.

Oh ok. That is what I was wondering. If it were per credit like normal or if the program in itself had a set cost no matter how many courses you had left to take.

I see what you are saying. So the tuition that they post online it says full-time costs 2435 per semester. In full time they mean 12 credits, which comes to around 200 $ per credit. If there is someone that did not take many prerequisites and has to take more then 12 credits per semester (for example, 1 semester nursing is 18.5 credits) they will pay extra for each credit. I am taking 16 credits this semester and I paid 2990 with all the different fees they add into tuition.

Suffolk is most affordable option around here. For example Stonybrook is around 400$ per credit.
