Suffolk Community College Fall 2018

Published

Hi,

anyone out there applying for the fall 2018 program at Suffolk?

I got into ammerman, it was my first choice ! My rubric was a 76.25 I had advanced in the teas

do you by any chance know what building we need to go to, to pay? i want to get it done tomorrow as well lol

I'm going to the cashier (downstairs next to Registrar) in the Ammerman Building @ Selden campus. I figure since the envelope has "attn: cashier" stamped on it. I'd rather do it in person and know its been received lol.

Specializes in cardiac PCU.

I have 76% on TEAS

A&P I A

Statistics A

I don't get in

:(

What is the cut score on the TEAS for Fall 2018?

Congrats to those accepted!!

I just submitted this health history and immunization form when I applied for he nursing program. Do I have to get it filled out again?

Well if it's anything like last year's then it's proficient or higher. The problem is that many people get proficient so your chance of getting accepted is if you have advanced or exemplary as those give points to your rubric score. And getting good grades in A&P and etc ( like yours) also add points to that score. Also the competition is high.

Would you consider going for a one-year LPN program (like boces) and then reapplying to Suffolk's LPN-RN program? I know it's a detour from your goal, but the nice thing is that after you graduate, you'll be gaining experience as a nurse. You could then reapply for the RN program as well as applying for the LPN-RN program. The thing is that you wouldn't be eligible for the LPN-RN program until Spring 2020 as you would be in the LPN program still in Spring of 2019.

You shouldn't have to, but ask them just in case.

So do we know it can definitely be brought in person? I was going to mail it bc I have two young kids so that's way easier lol but I'd rather bring it and know it's done.

@Danac23 yes you can bring it in person. Ammerman building. Cashier is in the basement.

Hi everyone! So I Grant campus admissions yesterday to ask about admission decisions and was told all the letters were mailed out March 12th but called central admissions today to see what was going on and was told my application was still in review and that I would hear back within the next few weeks. Has this happened to anyone else? I live in on the border of Commack/Smithtown so I should've gotten a letter by now if it was sent on Monday

I was told on Monday by central admissions that I was still in review and I'd hear something in a few weeks. My letter was post marked Monday. It arrived Wednesday. Assuming they were told to just say that line to avoid calls.

Made my deposit today!!! So beyond excited :)
