Our lab manual has really awful pictures of the veins and arteries of the body. Our textbook has diagrams, but I don't know how to study for them. I can't seem to find any blank diagrams to practice labeling. How did you all study for your practical on veins & arteries? Thanks. I'd like to get started studying ASAP, just don't even know where to begin.

Feb 3, 2010 Go to the library (or a used bookstore - can be online or off) and see if they have an edition of Marieb's full version of Anatomy & Physiology textbook. For the 7th edition, pages 744-766 are excellent - its how I learned them. There is realistic, in-the-body-type images, as well as clear, broken down diagrams of where the blood goes (for both arteries & veins). Use tiny post-its to cover up the labels and label away. Another good thing is to learn the diagrams & images and then test yourself by drawing them out on a write & wipe board. Thats another thing I did and it worked well. Good luck!!

Assailants 169 Posts Specializes in Ortho/Trauma. Feb 4, 2010 For my anatomy class, we only needed to know the major arteries (jugular, carotid, etc.) and veins. Ask your teacher on what he/she wants you to know because there are a s-load of arteries/veins.

It came with a CD and it has a registration code to their website. The website is a God send. Do the activities there and you'll get it. Also, the website has links to other helpful sites for that specific chapter. :)

Feb 24, 2010 i use the connect the stick method: have a list from largest to smallest blood vessels - keep on writing them over and over again - sometime i filled out sheets where i may have two or three out of a series of 6-8 and had blanks - keep on filling in those blanks with the names that you need to know...
