any other students trying to lose weight?

ugh, i am working on some major poundage and am looking for other nursing students who understand the concept of STRESS eating! -----------------------------------:uhoh3:

anywho, i am on weight watchers and have lost over 40 pounds--with more to go. any takers? we can keep track of each other. i have three semesters left and my 34th birthday in in october--i want to lose about 20 pounds before my b-day and i want to look good in my whites at pinning! :)

Todays weigh in: Saturday July 29th.

I am up another 2...which puts me right smack back to where I started. I devoured chocolate this week!!. I think I might stop the weekly weigh in routine since I obsess over it...what I think I might do, is at the end of this trial, I will post my total weight lost overall. :rolleyes: LOL...I think also, that I need to lower my original goal of 20 lbs, to TEN....more attainable I think??

Good luck to everyone else. I have not a thing to wear to classes once they start up. Everything I own is so tight, I will be unable to breath and listen to lecture too LOL. :wink2:

I will TRY and behave myself this week. The wedding feast did it to me last week and I have holidays yet to go.....sigh.

Putting it on is EASY...taking it off takes forever.

The chocolate got me too...

Down another 1.5 this week. That makes 2 down, 8 to go. Being mindful has payed off. I had a lot of stress this week (dog had to have her knee reconstructed) and did not turn to food to soothe myself which is a major accomplishment, YAY me!

Onward to the third week of my challenge. I found a food tracker for a 1200 cal ADA diet that looks a lot like the old Weight Watcher exchange list. That worked so well for me in the past (lost 52 lbs and kept it off for 8 +/- years). I am going to try that for a while. I can adapt it to my older WW recipes and most food labels still include exchange information.

I was down .4 at my last weigh in. That was over 2 weeks...one of which was on vacation. So, I think that makes my total 3.4 for the chalange. :)

Don't go to the store hungry, Don't buy junk. If it is not in the house at two in the morning when you are studying if it is not there you cant eat it. Whe I was in the nursing program in NC ,the first semester I put on 35 pounds. Second semester I decided I wasn't going to buy junk or soda. I had better things to spend my money on. My kids were a little tiked at first but they get enough junk at school anyway. I quit buying junk and soda and went from a size 18 to a 12 in eight months. Granted when I was in a car accident last november and my brother was shopping for me I put weight back on but, i am losing it again. I am not a skinny but I am not fat either. Like I said it is hard to eat what you dont have to eat. :pumpiron:

If that isn't the truth! I've recently lost with WW, then life hit. I started buying the junk again and guess who ate most of it! Yep, me! I went shopping last night and didn't buy any junk food. What a great feeling and the bill was significantly less. Of course, today I'm hearing about it...."Mom, there's nothing to eat. I don't like that stuff." I'm trying to get us all to like the fruit better than the chocolate. Hard stuff!

No loss or gain this week, which is good because I had some Baaaaaad days. LOL. I'm sticking to my exercise though, I think that's why I didn't gain. I'm doing Bodypump 3x a week (weight training set to music), at gold's, plus cardio 4x a week. Glad to see everyone is still hanging in there!!

Ok havent posted in awhile so quick update!! Lost 3 lbs Yeah gained back 3 lbs boo!!! right back where I was so I am totally not doing well. I got really down about losing weight because of the kids and my hubbys bday's. I made really bad choices over the last several weeks and gave up!! I need to get motivated and start back on my ww regimen! Wish me luck!!!

Reporting in for this week. It has been a hot one. Fingers and ankle are puffy, so am retaining fluid, but I was still down 0.5 for a total of 2.5 for the challenge.:monkeydance: I'll be interested to see what next week brings as the temps are supposed to be lower and I should lose the retention. Overall I feel I have been in better control of my eating. Slow but steady progress.

Lost 1.6 this week.I have a week of bloating ahead so hopfully extra exercise will keep the water weight away. Keep up the great work!!:balloons: :balloons:

Sorry guys-didnt mean to bail on ya...

Guess I have been feeling down about how long it is taking me to lose ANY weight when I am working so hard at it--stayed the same again at weigh in. So, I am slipping a bit due to frustration. Yet I am not giving up. Back on track and have realized I MUST exrcise in order to lose.

So, just wanted to say HI and see how everyones weigh in went. :)
